In my act I want to change from a traditional magician outfit, a tuxedo, to a modern silver outfit. (I'd do the quick change in a cabinet.) I guess I need to find a "strip-away" kind of tuxedo. (I guess it has velcro on the seams that make it easy to rip off.) Does anyone know where I might be able to find a "quick change" type of tuxedo??

It is probably best to take it to a seamstress but that will cost you. I know mine did.

The silver tux is a standard available from After Six and several others. The model is a standard stage one called Silver Shadow. The good news is that they just don’t wrinkle. I keep three long ones and a short one. Lucy also wears long ones for some things but women simply have more variety available to them. And she likes to work in red and black.

You will have to have a tailor modify the pants for you. Or just change coats! (You know a black stripe could cover the silver stripe on the black pants until you pull it off. Black pants are certainly cheaper.)

See the photo.

Look up Costume Change and the search engine should come up with a video from Monica (not sure of her last name). I have heard it is fairly good and you might be able to ask her before buying it if it has anything for a tux.
