Funkenring?
It gives you a blast of sparks.

If you get the metal one made in Germany it should work fine. The plastic ones were not as good.
I used one for years and it seemed to hold up.
Try one, they are not expensive.
Hope that helps a bit.

Jef

Also look for "Makin' Sparks", by Sylvester the Jester. It's like a motorized funkenring. It's larger, but still handheld.

A used one just sold in the buy and sell area.

Danny's will last a long time and ....... why are you worried about hiding anything?
The audience isn't expecting a cascade of sparks so when they react you have three seconds to do anything.

You could put it on a pull, toss it in a topit, hide it with a production, reach in the air with your free hand which also causes misdirection or put it away while bringinginging ing out the next prop.

(I added the inging ing for effect. While you were reading that you were not reading this. Get it, their eyes can only focus on one place at a time)

And not to worried about ditching it as much as pocket management. If there are two units on the market that do the same thing and one is the size of a TT and the other is the size of a tennis ball I'm thinking the the smaller one would be better for this instance.
