I know what makes this trick a classic is, in great part, the story.
But I have to say I never liked much the stab thing on the final. I was thinking about a different way of presenting it, putting myself as a magician in the place of the one-man hand. I'll do my best with my poor english to explain it! I thought of a story about a jewish magician in the WWII, who got caught and worked and survived amusing german officers with his impossible ace locations, until he lost is left arm in an accident. Then he was put in a concentration camp with his daughter. Some officers recognized him, and asked him to cut with his one-hand the four aces in four cuts. If he could do that, his daughter would be set free. But if not, they would kill her. You know what happens, they lose the aces, and then he cuts to an ace with one hand. "he just got lucky", the officers said. Then another ace. "Wait, he got the aces at the top", they said, –which was not true (you now show the top card), and put the deck face up. He cut again, and he gets another ace. Then on of the officers took the deck, shuffled it and checked to make sure there were no aces on top, no aces on bottom... and the the last cut, for his daughter's life. Finally he gets, say, a 5. An officer said "you bet on your daughter's life, and you lost". "No no no... after you shuffled the deck; I controlled the cards and not first, second, third, fourth, but fifth... it's the fourth ace" I don't know if the german and concentration camp thing can be too shocking, or hurt somebody's feelings. I thing it gets a great storyline, and gets more and more interesting just because the life of his daughter is put on risk. Hope you liked it!!

There's something I'm worried about in magic forums and magic in general.
I posted this plot in several forums and had no response in any of them. A good amount of reads, but no responses. It looks like nobody is interested in plots and presentations, just in sleights. I find myself, after some years practicing, trying to find new ways to present effects, my way actually. Find a different presentation for some tricks is not an easy task; and it gets worse if the magic community does not pay attention to it. Of course, I'm not upset because of the lack of comments in my post (maybe this idea sucks and nobody wants to say that), just expressing an opinion about something I see more and more out there.
