Question for all. Do you feel the performance rights to an illusions pass with the sale of the prop? Or are they only given to a specific performer?

I think that, unless otherwise expressly mentioned by the manufacturer, the performing rights pass with the prop. It seems to be implied at the time of purchase that you are buying three things: the prop, the secret, and the right to perform it. However, I have seen instances where the manufactuer specifically restricts the performing rights to the original purchaser. I have also seen instances were the performing rights, themselves, have been restricted (ie. the right did not include broadcast rights).
