Mishaps happen. To everyone. I don't like to see it happen to any performer.

Zombie, do you know the story of this?
He was stealing that effect. |

Would you like the "ironic as hell" prophecy of this occurrence?
As shown in the January 2, 2009 episode of Supernatural entitled "Criss Angel is a ******bag" it covers magicians struggling to be relevant. The main magician in the story fails at the table of death. I'm just saying; it doesn't get much more uncanny than this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl......sXBV2HsQ |

It is quite obvious it was taken from Jan's show. (As well, I have friends who have ensured this was the case.)
I wonder if he will say this supernatural episode inspired his idea, rather than the theft? (They are already claiming "Lord of Illusions" inspiration). That's about the only save that may be believed by anyone. My bad. (Don't want to give anyone ideas) ------------------ And Zombie, while I feel you, Steve Wyrick had a huge fail on the strip and was decimated for it by his peers. No one said they felt bad for him. As he had stepped on too many to get where he was. Criss, while I was in Vegas, was "re-forming" his image. And many gave him another chance. But it seems that he has fallen off the path again. Regardless, when you have his level of fame; people think the rules do not apply, or you have too many fans whom do not understand the ethics of our business. So while he knew he was taking an idea again. I have to wonder if tv producers are pressuring this kind of behavior. Because they think they are above our ethics, and that being on tv is far more valuable to our careers than our ethics. I know, as I was a TV producer for 3 years. But he is also famous enough to say "No". And do what is right for magic. It is a shame to see him fall into his old ways. Money. Causes all kinds of problems. LokI |

Hey Guys. I filmed this video. For now, let me just say this: We all make mistakes. Ae all mess up in front of audiences. But a couple things were different in this situation. I'm not going to go into them here, but I will go into them in a story I'm writing for Wired.com in a couple days. The story is on IP law and magic, and I've actually been working on it for a couple weeks. If you can believe it, it was Angel's publicist at Spike who encouraged me, on phone, to attend the taping last night. And, yeah, that's what I saw.

So Criss Angel is supposed to have stolen Jan Rouven's illusion, and then the trick went wrong during the filming?
If that's what this is about why not just come out and say it rather than post a confusing video? |

Confusing video? It said right on the screen what was happening. Not confusing at all.

LOKI! Sister Bertrille! I was a teenager
again for a few moments. Thankyou for that link! Loki, was that really the title of the Episode? Was there something that someone on Supernautural knew that had upset them about Criss? One more sad aspect is that, given his fame, he could have done ANYTHING and it probably would have been received okay...even a tweak of something he did long ago. I've never seen him perform and I imagine most present at the taping had not, or if they had...still would have been okay with whatever he did. I LOOOOVVVVEEEEDD Elvis, in part because he had a great kind giving heart, unbelievably so. I would have watched him do "Hound Dog" 10 times and been happy each time. Same for watching Loki do "FAX" OR he could have won so many hearts by saying: "I learned this from a great magician". (One of my favorite lines that I use sometimes). Sometimes we can live in a world within ourselvs that isn't a true world. Criss might be driving himself to always do "different" with imagined expectations he thinks others have concerning him.... that may not exist. |

Haha. Yes that actually was the name of the episode. I'm quite surprised that it aired that way, actually.
But I thought of it when this went down, and when I looked it up I found it uncanny. |

I would fire whoever was in charge of my "image" if I was him.

But the reason I'm not getting more into the theft here is that I have a story coming out on Wired.com about the situation, and for legal purposes I can't copy my own words here, before they see print on Wired.com. Not trying to be a tease or anything! |
