Dylan might have been tired, had too much to drink, had a bad day...many things can take their toll on a performer. Of course, he may have purposely performed that way, who knows?

The road is what kills the desire to perform. Everybody that I know lives on stage, and only goes through the motions getting there. Perhaps what Doug says is true and the desire to over indulge is a big factor with some, but I have always gotten high on performing.
