Andy, this is a great piece of work.
I never thought I would be interested in giving readings but I am genuinely excited about doing my first one. At first I thought this would be a useful tool to supplement my mentalism effects but after Reading most of the book it would simply be wrong to present this as anything but a thoughtful, interesting and responsible reading. From reading the book and analysing my own tree you cannot deny the accuracy of this system. I was quite shocked by some of the things my doodle expressed, they were things that I never considered but they were sooooo true. Thanks again Andy, And hey, if anyone wants a tree reaching from a novice I'd be happy with the practice and feedback, Regards, Sea

Hi MatCult
I am thrilled that Sea offered you such an accurate tree reading - the more I and others work with this system, the more confidence it gives me that this is a reliable and accurate way of conducting a personality reading. The fact that Sea has achieved this level of success so quickly speaks volumes not only about the veracity of tree reading but also of Sea's skills as a reader who has quickly familiarised himself with the nuances that the system can provide - well done mate! I look forward to hearing from you MatCult and say hello to Brum for me - an old haunt of mine and my parents still live in the Midlands - many happy memories from that neck of the woods |

Thanks Mat, Andy.
The system is great. That was my first reading and it is lots of fun. It is amazing how the different elements correspond and piecing together the various signs is immensely rewarding. As Andy said already, the system is very intuitive which makes it easy to apply. Also, Andy's book worked really well as a reference book which helped my reading. Regards, Sea

I recently got this and have been excited to check it out and offer a review but due to the recent holiday weekend of a heavy performance schedule, I haven't really been able to read it yet. I have briefly skimmed through it and am quite excited to get into this. Just at a glance it looks very well put together and thorough. I hope to delve into it starting today.

I have presented Rudy Hunters wonderful Tree Reading methodology from his DVD several times 'casually'. Great fun! A truly pleasant non intimidating process of giving a personality reading.
I just ordered the printed version of Andy's "Doodle Me a Tree" ....I really look forward to this advancement of an already enjoyable and interesting system. Thank-you in advance Andy and Rudy! Rich |

Hi RicHeka
My pleasure and I do hope you enjoy the book - I still go back and watch Rudy's DVD regularly - as I told him recently, he is the benchmark for me whenever I sit down with a client because his demeanour is so relaxed and engaging - his material teaches so much more than just how to read tree doodles! Great stuff Phil - the community of tree readers is alive and kicking |

Wow, I’ve got say I love this book! I have been reviewing many things lately and this so far has been one of my favorites, for many reasons.
Let me say this is a well-designed, and perfectly laid out book allowing it to be easy to understand, comprehend and quickly set you on your way to doing amazing readings in no time at all. I must say, I have always been a fan of DVDs rather than books. It’s just my preferred way of learning. I already have and enjoyed very much Rudy’s Draw Me A Tree DVD and what a great concept this format of reading could be, so I was very much looking forward to this release of Andy’s when I first heard about it. When I found out it also included and combined signature analysis, I was even more excited as it opens up an entirely new world of possibilities. What I enjoyed about this book the most is that it is fantastic on two levels. First, being a great, easy to understand and follow introduction for anyone interested in doing any type of readings. I was always put off by tarot cards or new age style of readings as they always seem to have some hidden agenda or “weirdness” to most common people. It is for this reason long ago I decided to explore and become proficient in graphology or handwriting analysis. It just seems more plausible, credible and believable to most people in many performance arenas. Tree reading also has the same non-threatening, non-”weirdness” appeal that can appeal to everyone. I found this to be a fantastic introduction to the world of personal readings without having to claim be psychic or posses any questionable powers or abilities. It is a safe, easy path into the world of readings. It is fun! Secondly, for the experienced reader of any type, this offers a great additional resource, basis and workable tool in your toolkit of format and presentation abilities. The entire book is laid out in easy to read, easy to follow steps that allows you to follow, understand and comprehend the material and concepts very easily and systematically. This is a great way to learn. What Andy presents here is a very solid foundation, complete with excellent details to allow you to present readings in a format and manner that is amazing, impactful and entertaining to literally everyone of all ages. By creating a systematic approach and breaking down each element and component of the process, it makes it all come together nicely and fluently for both the performer and the person being read. It is very non-threatening. I would even say it is actually fun and light-hearted allowing for great interplay and response with the subject. Every step is well illustrated and explained with quick, easy to understand trait details, rather than long drawn out explanations. By the time you have completed the pages of this book you are armed with the information you need to know to present fun, entertaining and insightful readings. Readings that will be strong and impactful. All you will have to do is learn how to work with the presentational structure Andy has provided to offer fluent delivery of the easily identifiable information. The author’s sample readings show great insight on how to take all of these traits, their meanings and useful information, and package it into a beautiful reading. Best of all you can do short readings of 5-7 minutes or you could easily offer more detailed readings, time permitting. I have found a great factor in presenting readings of any kind is in using metaphors as part of the delivery and presentation. While this is not covered in much detail it can easily be added to the plethora of detailed information obtained by Andy’s system to make for an excellent presentation. Andy's approach is clear and concise without a lot of fluff or clutter. I love the logical progression of the different facets of both the tree and signature which allows it to make sense and flow so nicely. This is a great way to present personality readings in both casual or formal performance environments. This is a must-have, no-brainer for anyone interested in exploring the world of personal readings or for the entertainer that wants to add a layer of credibility and believability to their current offerings. This is a great compliment to Rudy's DVD on the topic, but is perfectly complete on it's own without having seen the DVD. There is so much more that this concept can offer creatively to performers. I could easily see mentalists incorporating these readings with a pseudo psychometry routine or a multi-mind reading game that plays large for four or five subjects on stage as a major effect involving the entire audience. Get this before your competition does. Andy Fisher, congratulations on a job well done. You should be proud and trust me your efforts and labor of love in this project will be greatly appreciated. I could see the possibilities for several followup projects. I would sign my name and a tree doodle, but I’m afraid of what you might uncover. |

Well, Sea and I have exchanged tree drawings and signatures. I must say, Sea did an excellent job with my reading.
I had fun with the one I did for Sea, and I am eagerly awaiting to here how I did. I hope he follows the old leadership adage: Praise in public, criticize in private! As a disclaimer, I did not touch the signature. I wanted to get something done and did not have the time, so I focused on the tree. I approached the overall presentation and came up with my initial thoughts and then I completed the reading by going through Doodle Me a Tree. I am not sure if Sea will see it the same way, but I tried to be more declarative than I would normally be in that I stated flat out he is deliberate and pragmatic. I hedged my bets on some aspects, "Your tree tells me this ..., but it could be ...." I did not use this line in Sea's reading, but I have it ready to go: "It is possible I am reading too much into this aspect of the tree. Let us not forget that even Freud said, 'Sometimes a good cigar is just a good cigar.'" It was a fun exercise, and I appreciate Sea helping me out. Boby

Excellent review Mindpro...thank-you.
I have a general question for those currently doing tree readings: Do you prefer asking sitters to 'draw a tree' or alternatively...'doodle a tree'? I was thinking the average person 'may' think 'quick cartoon' when they hear 'doodle'. Whereas, when they are asked to 'draw' a tree they might be more prone to carefully sketch the tree thus providing more information. Rich |

Hi guys - first a BIG thank you to Mindpro for such a generous and comprehensive review - I really appreciate the time and effort you have put into the feedback offered. Should you ever feel inclined to doodle me a tree and sign it, client confidentiality will of course protect anything you reveal!
Great stuff Bobby and Sea - the exchange of readings is fantastic and it will both affirm your confidence in the system and afford you some great feedback without having to test your readings in the crucible of a lay audience - wonderful stuff. Rich - I actually will use either 'doodle' or 'draw' depending on the context. If I am working a corporate event or a party where the kinds of readings need to be quick fire and playful, then 'doodle' emphasises the fact that I am not expecting a work of art. If the time allows then I will ask someone to 'draw me a tree and sign it' instead. In both cases, I expand upon my verb choice to clarify what is expected because a lot of people feel pressure that their image is going to be judged for its artistic merits or ridiculed for failing to meet some internalised standard. My typical delivery goes something like this - 'Rich, I'd like you to doodle me a tree and then sign it. Take your time but don't feel under any pressure to produce something worthy of hanging in a gallery - this isn't going to be graded but it will give us some insights into what makes you tick and we're going to have some fun. Just draw whatever first comes to mind as you draw your tree and sign it in anyway that feels right to you and then, in a minute or two, I'll tell you all about yourself'. Of course this is just my approach - there are as many ways of doing this as the a readers |

Hi all,
Just wanted to say the tree drawing exchange with Bobby was an insightful exercise for both of us and Bobby hit the mark a number of times. I learned a lot, Bobby has an excellent way with words. I love that cigar quote by the way. Bobby's drawing could not have been more different than Mats so I can see how tree drawing can remain interesting for a long time. Thanks for the reading Bobby, and the positive words Andy. Regards, Sea.

Just to chime in about Doodle Me a Tree as well. I'm really glad I got my hands on this; the information within is presented in an easy to understand (and subsequently for me, easy to retain) format. For some reason when it comes to this kind of material I've always preferred the written word for the ability and ease of referring back and forth to aid my revision, as opposed to material where you need to see something in action in a DVD.
Going over the book numerous times for a day or two saw me giving about 3 casual readings, which I thought didn't go too bad for someone like me completely new to this; it did seem like a daunting task at first. Andy was also very nice as I had run into some strange scenarios which came up, and he took time to go over his interpretations of those over email. For the price you cannot go wrong - you will learn something unique and fun, also relevant to what we all love doing. ~ Nique

Let me echo Andy's praise for Mindpro's review.
I, too, like the fact that the tree and signature do not conjure up a psychic environment. In my reading with Sea, I told him this has nothing to do with any gifts I have, this is all about you. Some of you might know from these boards and others, I have wanted to add Q&A to my act, but as a Christian I have a problem with it. Richard Osterlind has talked to me about doing a thought reading act in which I pick up thoughts, and I like that approach better than Q&A. However, I must say that a tree reading and handwriting analysis better suits me because this is a person revealing himself/herself consciously or subconsciously through something they create. This is not me picking up any vibes, tapping into spirits or unseen forces or powers. I am having fun learning about this. Thanks, Andy, and thanks, Mindpro. Bobby

Bobby, thanks for the kind words. I too had similar feelings years ago when one of my agencies regularly was receiving requests for readings, usually in the form of tarot or palmistry, as this seems to be the most commonly known. Even so, many believe that tarot has connections or unbelievable or unacceptable affiliations. This is so with many new age or progressive concepts. So I was looking for something different, that offered the same appeal but was more universally acceptable.
While realizing the interest and impact readings have, I was seeking something more believable, organic and less "threatening" that could be used on most people, in most situations without the need for psychic believability, spiritual connections or subscription to specific beliefs. Something that would play in Peoria (an old show business term). To me handwriting analysis or graphology was perfect. Nothing to carry, no far-fetched concepts to subscribe to, each person had input or control over their source of analysis, unlike Palmistry which we do not have control over our lines, etc (the perception of the common persons). Handwriting was a format that was organic, interesting and believable. Then I discovered Picometry. I have at one time or another incorporated the pig drawings and tree doodles in addition to my handwriting analysis. It has worked perfectly for our use. It literally has universal mass appeal, is personal yet fun, and seems to be much more credible, acceptable and less-threatening. We have been doing it ever since. While I no longer do it as much as I used to, whenever the occasion does arise, I always enjoy it. I just performed at an event at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and looks like I may do more with their properties. I have not only done readings but have created a show around the concept that has been working out nicely, taking this to an entirely different level. I believe the reason this can be done is because of this simple, organic and believable format, much of which is the basis of Andy's work. |

Received my physical book today. Though I've been through the E book a couple of times now.
I echo all the praise this is getting. a great offering to the community. Also the thoughts that a few are sharing about not being comfortable with the whole psychic feel that things like tarot come with as part of their baggage. this was the main reason I developed Photo Psyche. Now with Tree doodles and Photos I can switch between systems as and when required. No psychic overtones at all. Thanks Andy. great work. Steve PS I'll have to change the photo I was going to use on some of my brochures now, as it featured me sitting holding a picture frame, just like on the front of the book. |

Hi guys-I completely agree with the issue of presenting anything that smacks of being an Oracle; I teach high school by day and it was important to me that whatever I presented did not cross any kind of ethical boundaries. I feel completely comfortable demonstrating and presenting tree readings and have done so to students and colleagues to good effect.
Steve-please don't feel the need to change any of your brochures on my account. The use of the picture frame is by no means unique to me and I had seen it used by others, albeit not mentalists. It's a big world and I'm sure that we will not be stepping on each others toes when it comes to marketing strategies! I hope to be doing some filming work sometime next week and will happily post this material on YouTube so that people can see how I approach readings and the kind of reactions that I get-I think what is so disarming about tree reading is that while It is playful, it is still possible to offer some pretty profound insights and guidance which can have a strong impact. I am also hoping to set up a blog in the next few weeks which we might be able to use as a Meeting point for tree readers exploring the system. I'll keep you posted! |
