There's so much to comment on here. I'll touch on two things.

1) That look of relief and pleasure on his face in the first clip, when he reveals the card. What a lovely moment. It stands on stark contrast to, say, David Blaine's glower. Think of the contrast in reactions just those two different facial expressions are likely to inspire in their respective audiences. Think of the different attitudes those two approaches convey.

2) I've heard that story about a young Vernon and Houdini before, but the reenactment they showed indicated (or seemed to indicate) that it was just a DL that fooled Houdini. Can that be true? Surely there's more to it than that!
