Anyone familiar with both of these versions that has comments on pros/cons of one versus the other.
Years ago (late 1980's) I performed a similar effect though cannot recall the originator nor the exact set-up. I love the presentational opportunities this has when in the right hands. I'm looking at resurrecting it and am looking into getting one of the two versions that seem to be available "Juxtaposition" OR Strivings "Challenge Name A Card" - both seem to be very similar in working. Any comments either way would help me which way to go. Thanks! |

Descriptions of both effects would be nice.

Both effects involve 2 decks red/blue; a thought of or named card vanishes from one deck leaving only 51 cards; and appears in the second deck as the missing card with a contrasting back. In some versions a card is named, in other versions a card is looked at, then appears to be missing from that deck.

Juxtaposition Trailer here..
http://www.system6magic.com/collections/......e-rosero I used it to close my 4F performance, was a winner for sure. The STrivings one looks good, hope the counting is a necessity..seems like there could be an alternate ending, but I could be wrong. Hope this helps, Six |

In Challenge Name a Card you pick a card from one deck & it is missing in the other deck. Also the selection has a different coloured back to prove it came from the other deck. No funny moves or limiting the selection, it's a free choice.
You may want to look into 'Two Deck Coincidence' as this is similiar as well. Sorry, but can't remember who it was by. |

Yes I believe the one I did years ago (when I was too dumb to start an archive) was two deck coincidence. That sounds very familiar I just haven't seen it but Juxtaposition sounds very close as does challenge name a card.
Thanks |

Aldo Colombini has a lot of material out on 2 Deck routines. Does anyone recall if he does these particular effects?

The 2 Deck Coincidence referred to by Russel Davidson was made by Repro 71 Magic from England and is virtually identical to Premonition Outdone still sold by Abbott Magic.
