Hey Dean
That's brilliant! Thank you. I just KNOW you will have so much fun with this prop. So far I received so many non-solicited testimonials about it that it's becoming a very pleasant embarrassment. John |

Just thought that I would make it clear that 'Funny Fibbers' is NOT 'Don't Ring That Bell!' With 'Funny Fibbers' (pictured) you can also obtain the effect of 'Don't Ring That Bell', which is a bonus, as well as the Lie detector routine. But 'Don't Ring That Bell!' is NOT reverse compatible with 'Funny Fibbers'. Hopefully this is made clear on my web site and the price difference reflects the huge difference in benefits. Best John |

John, wanted to let you know I went to purchase my "Funny Fibbers" on the Hocus Pocus website a couple of days ago. Well today I was sent an email saying there is no stock left and they weren't even sure if they would get more in before Christmas.
They were quick to refund my money but I was hoping to get mine before then. Would rather not order from the UK as shipping would be sky-high. Do you happen to know if they can get more in before Christmas? Thanks, Alan |

Hi Alan
Obviously, it's up to Paul (Hocus Pocus) when he re-orders Funny Fibbers from me. I've been working non-stop for the past week manufacturing more 'Funny Fibbers.' So now, I have plenty of stock with the latest new PolyCarbonate 'No-Hands' Remote Control. Check out my web site - I don't think shipping to USA is too high, especially if you want one well before the Christams season. I worked out the original postage cost to include the 4 AA batteries. But because of terrorism threats I HAVE to remove all batteries. The weight reduction may reduce shipping cost. I'll check it out tomorrow. This may be a solution for you. Thanks for giving me the heads up on the situation. Meanwhile, here in UK magicians are going crazy over 'Funny Fibbers.' It also offers other routines, such as 'Don't Ring That Bell' and the variations of 'Yes_No questionarre'. best John |

This looks very nice, and a very affordable price. Great stuff, John. My order's in.....this does look ideal for Christmas.
Seems to me that £10.50 international p+p is remarkably cheap - it's £7 in the UK! |

For example, an item that weighs very much less than another can cost very much more ... just because one of the dimensions is more than 3 inches. The size of the box for 'Funny Fibbers' is 8 x 8 x 8 inches. So we get hit for £7 postage in the UK. But for International Airways the size rules are relaxed ... except the parcel must NOT contain timer components that could activate a bomb, eg batteries. Pure Uranium is okay though. Ah well they know best! John |

Mine arrived today, but I had a lot of trouble getting it to work...I checked all the batteries were in place, took it to pieces, and eventually called John, who couldn't understand it. He talked me through some possibilities, and called me back an hour or so later, only to discover I STILL hadn't got it working.
Could it be a dodgy one? John talked me through it step by step, and when I couldn't find the red light on the transmitter, he said it was under the sliding piece. Sliding piece? I thought that was the button. No button, it's a cover that slides up, to reveal a red button underneath. Duh! SO....having finally discovered the secret button....I'm pleased to report that, of course, it WORKS!! Very nice, well-made, with plastic "light bulb". The remote transmitter seems positive, and responsive. A gimmick is supplied to enable the performer to easily operate the remote unseen, or simply p**m the remote if that works better for you. My guess is that almost everyone will use the gimmick, as it can be placed in any number of locations, making the operation of the unit totally undetectable. My immediate thought was to mount the unit onto something else - in fact, some kind of hat. The design means you can use the plastic tray supplied, or simply remove it, if preferred. You can then work out how you might attach the lie detector to hats, boxes, or other things, depending on your requirements. John's routines supplied are ready-to-go, and a good springboard for anyone unfamiliar with Lie Detector routines. No reason why you can't just pop this straight into your show with the scripted questions, just to see how it plays. Obviously, a prop that lends itself to improvisation as well as creative scripting. This is a utility prop, and a very nice one. Sturdily built, and great value. I don't think it would be ideal for larger stage shows, without considering lighting and sound conditions first. But for Birthday parties, and parlour shows, it's perfect. I will certainly jazz mine up, with flashing lights, and other silly stuff. I might even add a party popper holder, so it can "explode". Bearing in mind that this prop will play well for kidshows, family shows, and adult shows, it's definitely worth considering if you want a fun audience participation routine that plays well for all kinds of shows. Thank you for your really great post. I forgot to mention that you can also use 'Funny Fibbers' for the "Must not NOT say 'No' or 'Yes' game - do you remember that TV game with Hugie Greene and Des O'Connor? You made me laugh SO MUCH though Doug with the remote control sender slider - I must retell this story at the Club (but I promise to disguise the guilty party)! Cheers mate John |

I thought about the party popper thing, and realised that there's a nice simple way to add the gag - just p**m the popper, go to "fix" the unit when it's "gone wrong", and fire the popper. Keep it simple, eh?

I'll keep you informed. John |

This is a first for me.
I've never seen an actual YouTube that you can view In the BODY of a Magic Café Post. Now that is AMAZING. I can't even put a picture in a post.

Go to a YouTube story that you wish to reproduce in MagicCafe. (YouTube can be halfway through a story).
Hover mouse over YouTube image and RH click. This will reveal a panel of 4 lines of information; namely: Copy video URL Copy video URL at current time Copy embed code Report playback issue RH click on Copy embed code This action appears to do nothing, but it copies the YouTube information to your PC’s copyboard Now go to MagicCafe and hover mouse over a blank area where you want the YouTube story to appear. RH click mouse and a panel with the word Paste will appear. LH Click on the word ‘Paste’ … and it’s done! For convenience, try it with my YouTube above; But immediately delete, else you’ll repeat my GhostBuster YouTube. So, it’s just 2RH clicks and 1LH click. I said it was dead easy! John |

I am trying John's instructions for this. This is the new opener we are introducing in our show.
This kid just happened in, and my wife and I thought it was really funny. If it works, thanks John. This opens up a whole new way to let people see what you are up to.
