This is the English page, you can search for MONEDAS Y OTRAS HISTORIAS. It took me several time to get the order accepted.

I received a copy of this yesterday and will start to translate this weekend. A quick review of the book gives me the impression that it wll exceed my expectations. If anyone is interested I got my caopy here http://www.tiendamagia.com/advanced_sear......STORIAS+ Postage was 45 euros.
PS, if anyone lives in the Strewsbury Mass area and speaks Spanish I could use help in the translation process. PM me. |

I emailed Luis about the possibility of an English Edition in near future, but a staff from his website support team replied No!

English speaking people tend to forget that Spanish (like French) IS an international language. So maybe, just maybe, it was normal for a respectful request to be received somehow as inconsciously arrogant.
Use Google translate since you seem to be aware of the value of this book's content and then give credit to whatever you may use from it. This will break the English speaking magicians' secular habit to take things created in Europe, rename them, and successfully present them as theirs (like the Grivolas Palm [ROV], the Spider Vanish, the Shuttle Pass, Cylinder and coins, Winged Silver...) Don't blame Europeans to use the language barrier in an attempt at keeping what is theirs for a couple of years. If you are smart enough to see it, at least remain humble in your quest for sharing.

Those the 200 pictures on the book are a sequence of each move that you can follow and learn the effect ? Or they are just general performance artistic pictures?
I will appreciate any feedback Thanks Joaquin |

Luis' performances are amazing, and the way he strings routines together is nothing short of genius. His Chinese coins on string routine is published, in English, in one of the el manuscriptos. It is just wonderful, though demanding enough sleight-wise that not everyone will be doing it. I'm going to call it the EVB American Coin Impossibility. Just kidding....
Sorry, this is the second time I have run up on Lawrence O, these observations will be directed towards Lawrence. Let me get this straight. Did you just say that English speaking people don't realize that SPANISH is an international language?? How cozy. You suggest Google translate to make sure you are not coming off as arrogant??? Brilliant. And finally, English speaking magicians have stolen so much from European magicians, that Europeans PURPOSELY don't translate the BOOKS THEY ARE TRYING TO SELL, because some English speaking customers might use the material and call it their own? And then, we should very humbly walk on eggshells, when we are asking someone if their book is going to be published in English, so as not to come off as arrogant. Man, that is some good solid, PRACTICAL advice there Lawrence. |
