30+ years ago, I was in 6th grade. I had all of my equipment set up to perform in my elementary school talent show in a room next to the stage - my magic table, handkerchief, TT, powdered milk in a gaffed glass, confetti in a special cup.
I was one of the later acts in the talent show. There were maybe 20 to 30 of us. Lots of kids passed in that room before me. So before I went up to perform, I checked to make sure all my props were there. Sure enough, my suspicions were correct. The confetti in the special cup was all gone. Most likely, one of the kids who performed before me had stolen it as a practical joke. I and the teacher, who were in the room together, had to act quickly before it was my turn to go on stage. She happened to have a paper envelope. She tore it up into many pieces. It went into my special cup, replacing the confetti that was supposed to be there. I went on stage. I poured milk into the special cup. Then I poured the contents of the special cup onto my head - the manufactured confetti that the teacher tore from her envelope. My act was a success. I'm certain that whoever stole the original confetti got quite a surprise. |

The magical re-appearing confetti! Must've made the success even sweeter!
