I'm italian and my english isn't good enough for understanding some complicated explanations, Videos really helped me learning moves like the one handed palm or the classic pass.

I wonder what book Al Schnider read, he wrote them all AND THEN SOME.

Slydini must or read his own book....EVERY THING HE DID WAS HIS WON

HaRRY LORAYNE WAS TO BUSY WRITING HIS OWN BOOKS TO READ ANYONE ELSES

Mickey Silver never read abook in his life ,dont beleve me just ask him

every I one mentioned is a world class magician . so my point, reading books does not make a magician and nor does a video..
one must have TALENT.....as well as knowlege

I think it comes down to the "desire to learn" and less with the way that the information was gathered. Also in my opinion more important than the way the information was gathered is the way the information is put to use - or put into practice. Building experience performing is another important part that few seem to want to talk about.

Books, video, tricks, moves, are nothing but tools.

How are the tools put to work?

To me that is what is important.

I like books the most as I do find most (as in 95%) of the magic dvd's incredibly boring. I am an avid reader aswell and I can read at my own pace. Since there is llepub.com I have now many ebooks on my tablet aswell, so there is also a packs small, reads big to reading!

I like DVDs but I love books.
Also I can't read a DVD in the bath.
And books mentally drown out the sound of a soap opera starting in the lounge ..... Shudder.

I plan on making it into a 12 DVD set that you can subscribe to via columbia house so you can get one installment a month for the low, low price of only $49.95. But if you act now... Smile

What I have found as the only way to watch a DVD is to use it on my laptop and set the the DVR software to use the spacebar to start and stop it. I then use my foot to control the playback. Not practical to put all the stuff in my hands down, hit the control, then get setup again Smile I've been thinking about wiring up universal remote for my DVD player or a USB control pad that I can modify to have 3 huge foot buttons. one for start/stop toggle and the others for rewind and fast forward.
