I ordered the required double face cards from martinsmagic. Quality is excellent, received them in less than a week. They included a bonus "trick" with the order.

Can't go wrong, highly recommended!

Isn't this N.F.W. with a slightly different handling? I did not see Richard credit Gary Freed or anyone else with the gimmicked cards which are the same and the gimmick is the same concept. I think that would have been a good idea.

That being said, I do like the handling better in ACE.

Tommy: Remember that Jason Alford's "Twixter" was the inspiration for "NFW", so Jason should be in the credits as well.

Here's just one of the discussions about that from the past:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......&forum=2

As for the present, I think that it's been established that there are significant enough differences between "Twixter", "NFW", and "Ace" to make them individually worthy.

But, you're right, credits are nice, too.

The best person for gimmick cards is Marty Grams (Martini Magic). You will never find a better made card nor a better gentleman than Marty

You can use most any kind of repositionable glue, either a spray or glue stick type. Also, Alene's Tack It Over & Over works well too. Just use an artist's brush and brush it on exactly where you want.
If using a spray, cut a hole or shape from another card to use as a mask and spray very lightly. Whichever kind you use it will be too sticky at first and you have to use or thumb or something to remove some of the tack.

I also use face cards just because I think it looks prettier and more shocking at the final reveal.

Wow!!! Good luck on the proposal. Make sure you have someone there to secretly videotape it.

Fantastic effect, perfect for walk-around magic. I use the old gag with it: they will switch place...(first laugh), but it becomes better, they switch back...(second laugh)

Hey guys, I also purchased the special cards from http://www.cards4magic.co.uk
and they are absolutely perfect. (Not thick etc.) Yeah shipping was a bit to Washington state but for the 5 cards
I bought, it was way cheaper than buying the replacement sets.
ACE is something that will be used all time and will get worn out quickly.
Oh, and you can get the reg Jokers too.

Thanks for the link Andrew.
I have also purchased many gaffed cards from Bernd at http://magicbycardmaker.com/ who is located in Germany but has really fast shipping to the States and does beautiful custom work for reasonable prices.
In the US, Shaun at http://www.mimesis-magic.com/gaff-cards.html also does all sorts of wonderful custom work at good prices and is super nice to deal with.
Marty at http://www.martinismagic.com/Products.html is probably the least expensive and quickest delivery within the US (and also a treat to work with) but his cards are a tad thicker, which can be good for some things but for ACE I don't care for them as much as Shaun's and Bernd's.

Roughly how long will the gimmick last before having to replace it again?

I really like the idea of using a coloured joker from the new bicycle standard decks. so the non gimmicked black/white,joker.You replace with a coloured one. You need to set up so they will have two red aces.Using the first basic handling.you explain that jokers are wild and in certain games can be any card. They seem to get given a coloured joker and a black and white one.You are left with the same. You say I think ill have the black jokers. So in a sec I'm going to get my coloured joker to swap with your black one.So ill have the black ones and you have the coloured ones.Whilst we are at it,as they are wild.I think ill have aces. You are left with black aces they have the coloured red aces
