I don't know comparitively how many people do this effect, but I have noticed it's rarely mentioned on the Café. It's found in The Classic Magic of Larry Jennings and seems to get overlooked by many who read the book. I get gasps from this trick, and never fail to impress. And it's impromptu. Two cards selected and returned to the deck, four of a kind pulled out of the deck. (Through the entire effect you're only handling four cards at a time) after the four are removed you can set the deck aside and proceed to change the four of a kind into four copies of the first spectators card, then into four copies of the second spectators card, then show convincinly that all four cards are actually jokers. Four transformations without having to hide any extra cards, and the moves look good. Including a little used version of the flustration count called the illusion count that in my opinion looks more natural.

All in all it's just good magic. I reccomend it to any who would like to learn an impromptu packet trick that packs a whollop. I would say it's in the intermediate skill range but well worth the effort of learning.

I heard from a friend that anecdotal evidence is actually quite reliable.
