Cool!

There is a copper top coffee table in our local casino which can make things jump off it at times. I think its the heat, that sort of makes it pop up, like a pop up card. It's quite scary, ghost like, if one isn't expecting it.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

While I don't know the answer why don't we just send this guy $5 and find out.

He can teach us any magic effect for $5 so this should be easy for him. Smile

We already have a thread on this guy. Smile
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

I used to laugh at this stuff. Not any more. I have seen things first hand...and there is NO way it could be explained. This is just another of those mysteries that...you might NOT want to know...

They should switch position with the other statues to see if it still turns around. They should also put it in an environment that has no vibrations to see if it still moves.
The vibration theory was my thoughts also before I read that other's had the same idea.

If someone would market such an item for a reasonable price, I would buy one. Maybe someone should consider mass production of these.

The most impressive part is its stable axis of rotation. I expected the stature to walk around the room as it rotated.

Probably an uneven base. It's almost certain it's rotating from vibrations caused by foot traffic. A bit of Museum Wax would stop that pretty quickly. (Though it would generate less publicity.)

Lol, when they give the explanation, and then add "but, it's been on the same surface for . . ."

Humidity, among other atmospheric and weather changes, could have been bumped, etc.

This morning as I was entering the kitchen, a plate in the sink, which had been in the same position all night, including yesterday evening, so already exposed to foot traffic, slid and went crash, not broken thankfully, but it slipped its position amongst some other dishes and made quite the loud noise. But it had been on the same surface and in the same position for hours . . .

At least it didn't happen in the middle of the night, it was surprisingly loud, and such a crash coming from down stairs would have likely scared the crap out of us.
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

Well, it 'may' have been in that same position for hours. It might also have been slowly moving past that precarious point of equilibrium.

But what if the reason it is moving is because a ghostly figure is irritated that it happens to be at 'that' particular location. Moving it to another location would satisfy the ghostly figure so that it would no longer worry about rotating it.
