How's about an act framed around a teeny purse? Ron Wilson's "lost object" gambit can serve to introduce, and the little purse will generate mucho interest.
As you display the little purse, and make some rather lame jokes ("must be for small change") you are also concealing 3 or 4 coins in EG. Finally, open the purse and casually pull out the coins. Use them, then casualy pull a deck out of the purse. Use it. Last effect, sigend card into (duh) the purse. Okay, that took out half the obvious stuff, what's left?

How about doing a coins-to-purse but the small purse is not big enough for half dollars so you produce a larger purse from small purse to do that particular routine.
sounds like a funny idea.

Or how's about using a funnel, ala David Roth, in order to get your silver dollars into the tiny purse?
Come to think of it, there's a motivation for the "Wildcoin" plot. You change your dollars to dimes one at a time, so that they'll fit in the purse. Then, to do one more trick, you dump them out and they all re-enlarge. Anyone want to try doing Roth's "purse and glass" with pennies and dimes?

Anyone using folding coins with these?
How about the magical block trick but with the purses?

Perhaps something like this would set the scene for the audience; "My daughter gave me this as a present. She told me to keep my money in it. I told her that would be tough. She told me it would be okay if it were rolled up."
An almost open use of a folding coin or silver shifter might be appropriate here. In this case the idea is to illustrate a child's wishful thinking and imagination. I suspect that folks will be so stunned watching a coin unfold that they would not notice a switch done a couple of beats later. For some reason this brings the Liepzig cigar routine to mind, though using a rolled up coin, a bill and perhaps a child's toy?

Interesting. I like the idea of the rolled up dollar. The natural combo would be to roll the folder in the bill, so that you could produce the rolled bill from the purse, and then the half dollar from the rolled bill. How deep can this "impossible nest" go?
The nice thing about these purses is that they are so small, switching them is no biggie. What do you think of vanishing the half and the bill by simply folding the coin inside the bill as they are both folded, ala $100 BS, until both disappear?

The Liepzig cigar routine was the reason I started searching for the purses after seeing Carney's routine. But since found that the small size of the purses allow for other routines to be done with them. Such as Sawa's "Invisible Purse" routine. Best Joe Would like to thank all who have purchased some of the "Micro Purses" Thanks guys! although the Micro purses are great for the wooden cigar routine, there are many other coin related routines that can be done with them. Curtis has some great ideas with them, as he pointed out on another forum you can do whatever you imagine. if you would like to see a pic of these go to http://www.magicalmystries.com while your there check out some pics from COINvention and lectures from 2003 Best Joe

Let me add my thanks to Joe and give a plug for his purses. They are the tiniest available and really work nicely with the cigars that he also makes though he does not advertise. Much better than the Rogers cigars in fact! You can make your own if you want to spend your time doing it or take the easy way out. In any event, you won't regret dealing with Joe.

Martello,
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad your happy with your purses. As for my "Cigs" they look like wood cigars and will be made by request only. If you would like to see a pic of them email me or keep checking my website. If you want a wooden cigar that LOOKS real then you can't beat John Rogers. And thanks to Curtis, Jon, Harris, Mickey, and Frank for some ideas. Anyone else have any thoughts, ideas, bits, or gags for these "Micro Purses"? Thanks Joe
