What would you recommend as a starting point for learning sponge ball material can you include what things are covered by the DVD or book

I have a DVD/Spongeball Set made by MagicMakers. It's called "30 Tricks & Tips With Spongeballs." You can find it on Amazon for a few bucks, and for what it's worth, it's a good deal.

I should mention I have a copy of Ben selinas encyclopedia of spongeball magic for sale if you really want to get into sponge magic I give you a smoking deal on the DVD and I'll even throw you ma set of sponges as well. I get strongest reactions from people when I do sponges. of all the DVD's listed I gotta say Steve Dacri's(god rest his soul) is probably the best. but encyclopedia probably has the most moves. so PM me if you want my copy of encyclopedia and we'll make a deal.
