Mr Ortiz, have you a new book in preparation ? It has been a while since Lessons in Card Mastery and Designing Miracles. I’m sure you have developed some new material !

Pure greed...-:)) Darwin...this book is where your fans need to start. It lays the foundation. It has risen to my favorite book on my shelves. What a masterpiece. Kevin |

I have all of Darwin Ortiz's books. I originally delayed getting Cardshark and was greatly dismayed when I discovered it went out of print and was no longer available, except going for outrageous prices on the second-hand market. So I was grateful when Darwin reprinted it, and I snatched a copy right up. I see now that it is once again out of print and out of stock everywhere, and this time it will never be reprinted, so I give a sigh of relief that I managed to get a copy.
Darwin Ortiz at the Card Table is one of the greatest books of card magic ever published. If you are into card magic and don't own a copy, should Darwin reprint it, you need to grab a copy before it becomes unavailable once again, this time also for good. Even though I own a copy, I would like to see it reprinted so that others who are unfamiliar with it, or missed out on it the first time, can have the enjoyment of owning a copy and studying, practicing, and performing the wonderful material contained therein. |

I want to thank everyone who has posted so far, but particularly kShepher and Ray Haining. I had just about decided not to reprint. But these last two posts have made me reconsider.
I've decided to hold off deciding a little longer, depending on further response in this thread. Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz |

Darwin Ortiz at the Card Table is an absolute classic. Works like that should be more available, as they can make a profound impact on any magician, young or old.
Please do a reprint, Mr. Ortiz. Mike |

Put me down for a copy.
I'm sure it would be worth everyone's time running another print. If your reading this thread and are interested in a copy, please leave your thoughts here. Push the green button Mr Ortiz! |

Darwin,
From being the first reply in this thread back in 2013, to numerous other times in this and the Cardshark thread (for example, like here, here and here), I have been really pulling for a reprint. But after waiting for so long, I lost hope, and ended up picking up a used copy from eBay earlier this year (only a few months before your post came back up...darn!). While it is not in the best shape, and I really would have preferred to get a new signed copy from you, I am grateful for being able to finally have this book. Though I am lucky enough to no longer need a copy, I know there are many others who would love the opportunity to purchase it. You are an awesome creator and put out some wonderful material and I know a reprint would be greatly appreciated. Just my 2 cents. Also, just want to say thank you for doing the audio book of Designing Miracles. It is so great to listen to this while mowing, driving, etc. to really make the time go by while hearing you break down and analyze what makes a trick great. I still need to pick up the paper copy (the only paper book by you I still need), but just wanted to say thanks for putting the time and effort in recording that. |

Dear Mr. Ortiz,
count me in. For some years now, your books have been my 'main road', my backbone of card magic. I work through them again in again in order of their appearance, a kind of 'programmed course'. If I'm done, I redo from start and every time I discover something new which I haven't noticed before or a new idea comes to my mind. Maybe it sounds silly but I found that by working through your books repeatedly I not only learned terrific card tricks, but also the most important sleights and lot of things on presentation, psychology etc. that have made me a more complete cardician and I use the many references in your books as my 'secondary roads' if I need more details about a sleight or a trick. Unfortunately I havent't managed fo far to find a copy of 'At The Card Table' for an affordable price, so I have to use the DVD as a substitute, which feels unsatisfactory because I prefer books over DVDs. So please: REPRINT ASAP ! Greetings from Germany Marcus |

Darwin,
I have 2 people already that are interested of the book from the post I made yesterday at the largest Swedish Facebook group. I will also ask some of the online stores if they are intersted and if so, how many they want. I will get back to you as soon as I have heard from them. Sincerely Jerry |

I want to let everyone to know that I'm presently researching the financial details of reprinting Darwin Ortiz at the Card Table. In the meantime I want to thank everyone who has posted. (I've read every post.) I hope that people interested in seeing a reprint will continue to post. It will make it easier for me to make a final decision.
Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz PS to Robert P.: I'm grateful for your long-running support. I'm sorry that a reprint didn't arrive in time to help you, but I appreciate your kind words. PS to Turing: I'm glad you've found my books so helpful. It makes all the hard work worthwhile. |
