Do you use a dollar or half dollar size? Standard Okito? Slot? Boston? Anyone doing routines that swap the box without the spectators knowledge like the Kort routine? I have all the styles of box out there but find myself always going back to just the standard okito. Anyone using a boston box as a standard okito without the coin 'stuck' in it?
Thoughts? |

Vernon, is that Roth's 'out with four'? That looks like a dollar size box. NICE. |

Nice VC. Good handling and box work. It don't have to get any better than that for me. Good job!

Nice work. HPC stuff was a little suspect though. Spectators may not know what you did but may suspect something happening. My opinion.
Thanks! Jim |

Thanks! Mostly David Roth ideas strung together with a few bits here and there from other sources.
Yes Jim, I agree about the HPC. Just didn't feel like re-recording that day, especially after nailing that bounce move into the box and the stack steal Figured I could live with the rest. |

He really gets the most out of his coin box routines. Entertaining a modern audience with an Okito coin box is a truly commendable thing.
Here's a prop that's been around for ages and yet outside of a few examples, NO ONE uses it, and yet Luis Piedrahita uses it on television no less, and for celebrities... who LOVE it Pretty amazing!! |

I know I've posted this before, but this is one of my coin box routines. Variation of Roth's.

Corbett, that was great! Awesome routine and I don't think anyone would notice but as Roth would say: Watch out for the hitch hiking thumb!
Anyone have a current favorite box type that you're using? All routines tailored to a specific box? |

Thanks for the 'plug' Joe! But since I don't pay the Café for advertising I don't mention anything about making or selling them here. I wouldn't be surprised if these two posts vanish which by all rights of paid advertising rules, they probably should.
The main reason for the post: I hear there is a coin box revolution starting and I'd like to find out who is using what currently. |
