After reading this thread I did an experiment. Two days I dressed up, two days I dressed down. When I dressed down I wore an expensive t-shirt, shorts and running shoes. Same location, same show.

Now I know 4 times is not enough for an accurate sample, but in the two days I dressed down I made just under $30/hr, and the two days I dressed up I made just under $60 an hour.

Now this is me, can't say it will be the same for you.

Oh, and the crowds in my area have probably not experienced a busker, at least here.

$90 light brown dress shoes, $75 tan slacks with tan suspenders, $45 button-down shirt and a straw fedora. My sleeves were rolled up, no tie. When it was hot I also wore a blue Frogg Togg.
