Any ideas for a Ancient Greek/Trojan horse themed magic routine?

Plenty. However these themes are not inclusive.
Greek gods are mythological but the story of the Trojan Horse is generally considered non-fiction BUT some people will take the oppositvview and mixing fiction with non-fiction (in concept) might cause issues. So you may very well write a good script only to realize that the audience knows more then you and will look on your performance with a bit of disapproval. IF you blend fiction with non-fiction and /or they are specialists in ancient history. I experienced a similar situation when I played a prince in merry old England at a major amusement park. While most of the guests didn't care that I was not accurate to the century, costuming or history - occasionally there would be a professor-type who would take omage and do their best to educate me about various aspects of the time period. I always agreed and wrote-down notes of various suggested books to read but never did. As long as they felt like they were being helpful then I didn't alienate them... I didn't listen to them but I didn't alienate them. I bring this dynamic to post because you may be constructing an act for members of a club or organization that would take offense to you using artistic liscense. But to answer the initial question, start by reading Wiki about the Trojan Horse and maybe a matrix routine or sponge ball routine will come to mind. Good luck.

I have a routine using the Beads of Prussia built around the story of Pandora. It appeared a few years ago in a Linking Ring Parade our Club, the Lynwood Ring of Fire put together. Not being as member of the IBM I never got a copy of the magazine so I can't tell you which one it is in. But it was a few years ago so it should be in the searchable Database.
