Is there a Woody Aragon memdeck book in the works?

Here's an interview with Woody Aragon, published 29 July 2013:

http://eltaumaturgo.com/blog/?p=1081

Google Translation to English (machine translation isn't perfect -- here, "game" should usually be "trick"):

http://translate.google.com/translate?sl......p%3D1081

Relevant part:

Q - What are you working on now?

R - [...] Also, I have almost finished the mnemonic book, I still take three or four months and is likely to publish in different volumes...

Spanish original: "Además, tengo casi terminado el libro de mnemónica en inglés , que todavía me llevará tres o cuatro meses y es probable que publique en diferentes volúmenes"

I just spent two days with Woody and he did some mem deck stuff for me. He has some very good ideas and this should be another must have whenever it becomes available.

That does not exactly answer the OP's question, though. Smile

Fantastic news. I am buying the Spanish version the moment it is available--I can't imagine waiting even a few months for the English! I'm a bit disappointed that he's changed his stack (based on the fact that it clearly shows 9S as the 52nd card now, along with the "sobre las modifierciones en el orden" part, which would indicate some significant changes) as I've been using his in tandem with the Tamariz stack since his long-out-of-print release of "Cosas Mías" (which this new book appears to pull from greatly as their table of contents read very similar--to the point that I think this new book could be considered a revised/extended version of Cosas Mías.)

It appears he has altered the most important parts to accommodate whatever his "new" stack is, though, given that effects that serve as transitionary methods are still listed further down in the table of contents. So, for that, I'm thankful. It'll be a small matter memorize the new stack and I will happily do so, assuming that the transitions between the stacks haven't been complicated.

I will admit to being secretly disappointed at seeing Carta de Seguridad potentially being released in English. While I've altered my presentation of it over the years, it has always served as a fantastic effect for lay people and--perhaps even more satisfying--absolutely blown the mind of other Tamariz stack workers once they realize the resulting situation (usually resulting in them begging me to do it again/give more information on the effect/etc... which I've rarely conceded to). It's great that this and other concepts originally taught in Cosas Mías (such as mnemónica siamesa, etc...) are potentially coming to English, though. Perhaps now I'll finally have someone to share work on the principles/effects with!

Being intimately familiar with Cosas Mías for a decade, and given that this book's Table of Contents reads very similar, I feel 100% confident in saying this even before the new books release: if you are a serious stack worker who uses Tamariz's Mnemonica, get this book when it comes out in English. Moving from stay stack to Woody's stack, performing many of his effects, and then seamlessly transitioning to the Tamariz stack via an entertaining effect is glorious. Even if you don't use the Tamariz stack (and have no desire to learn Woody's stack), the principles behind the mnemónica siamesa effects open the door to amazing possibilities with a little work and ingenuity.

Really looking to this book!

Thanks for this great info, Alchemist!

The subtitle appears to be Cosas Mias 2.0, so your analysis appears right on target!

Here's a link to the book in Woody's online store:

Thanks for the link, Tim! Also, thanks calling my attention to the "Cosas Miías 2.0" on the cover. It seems I couldn't see the forest for the trees, and was so busy looking at the table of contents that I completely missed the subtitle on the cover!

I'll be submitting my order now for the book now! Can't wait to see this one arrive in my mailbox.

For those of you who are curious of the new book, this is current update from Woody:

"Arthur, Memorandum is translated around at 85%. The problem is a need some time to do a first reading for corrections, and my performance schedule is full until FISM. I hope to have some free time in August and, perhaps, the book will be ready in September. Released in October, perhaps?"

The above response was made a week ago.

Hope it helps,
- Arthur

In “Woody Aragon at the Table Live” from december 2015, he said that the English translation of “Memorandum” will come out “very soon’”.

By the way, his first trick (and a good one) on that video download was a MD-trick.

All the subscribers of “Tips, Tricks and Techniques for a Memorized Deck” know that already
since jan 2015 Smile
