I recently received my Inferno package, but after reading through all 15 pages of this thread as well as the one in Secret Sessions I must admit I'm a bit nervous about preparing the gimmicks for fear that I will mess them up. I guess I will have to study JJ's handling on the DVD carefully before preparing the gimmicks. If anybody has any tips they are willing to share regarding the proper folding of the gimmicks (either here or via PM), that would be awesome and much appreciated. I did see Card Shark's post where he said to just fold it where it's already pre-scored and then adjust the crease as necessary after. I just want to make sure that I don't have too many creases in my cards and that I have the lip on the correct side. So far there's been a lot of valuable information offered on these forums. Thanks guys!

Personally, I would not use the lip, just align the first crease flush. The second one depends on your handling, if you are a lefty etc. It does not matter if you first fold them from left to right and then find out that right to left would have been better FOR YOU. This second fold can easily be reversed without any harm.

I have to admit, I was going to buy this effect until reading the last few pages. I love the concept but don't want to buy something that is going to take up hours of time setting up with the possibility of screwing it up. Has anyone summsrized the issues and fixes anywhere so that I do not have to read through 13 pages either here or downstairs? I work so much it is hard to find time to read through everything.
If someone knows more could you PM me? Thanks, Dannicus

In fact, except the papperclip that need to be replaced and using the handling from Loic (which I think is better), you don't have to worry

I successfully just folded up the provided matchbox without any help. Yay! That wasn't too difficult. Think it took around a minute or so to do. If I can do it, then anyone can.

Fold the gimmicks into quarters (on the pre-creased score marks), arrange them in the order stated on the DVD, stick a paperclip on them. I seriously don't understand all of the "problems" people are having. While many are complaining about non-issues on the Café, I've been out performing Inferno. |

Where can we found the handling from Loic which seems to be better?
Thanks, Olivier |

Any chance I could get hold of the handling too please? I don't have any issues with the handling supplied but am interested on hearing about variations.

I must say I love this effect. From the moment I was lucky enough to see Josh perform this at the Session earlier this year, I was hooked. Great routine. I have made a few alterations... I have ditched the match box supplied and now use a swan vesta matchbox..3.5 inches by 2 inches and use a bigger paperclip... approx 3inches which I find helps in the presentation. I was playing around with different handlings, and thanks to Loic/Card Shark now use something very similar but with my own "left handist" adaptation!!" Great buy, and as Josh says, is a winner for me as it uses many layers of deception. Brilliant

I showed Joshua a very cool subtlety to use with inferno that he is now using in his performance. He even tweeted about it.
