Couldn't find a topic for this effect. One might want to discuss this.
___________________________________ http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/2942 Quarter Cup by Gregory Wilson (Instant Download). They FEEL the magic. SLAP a coin thru a Starbucks coffee cup while THEY hold it. The cup and coin are 100% examinable after. 3 senses are involved when you take a quarter and SLAP it right through the bottom of a starbucks cup.. WHILE THEY HOLD THE CUP. 1. SOUND: They can actually HEAR the coin jump into the cup. 2. FEEL: They can FEEL the moment it happens! 3. SIGHT: THEY open up the cup, and THEY take it out. EVERYTHING is totally examinable, and by the time they open it, there's nothing to find. http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/2942 |

I assume the cup is empty. Although I can imagine this would be a lot of fun to do with a full cup of hot coffee!

I think this effect would have been better as part of a larger project, one of many on a DVD. The effect is not bad, but I was hoping it was something that wasn't limited to just a certain type of cup. Also, you can't just walk up to someone with one of these cups and do the effect. The cup needs to be empty, and I would say it would be best if it was an un-used cup so you aren't retrieving a coin from a pool of coffee. Given that, I just don't see the practicality or the justification for walking around with an empty coffee cup.

Actually the effect is originally from a DVD project, Coffee House Conjuring.

Thanks, Bob.
Perhaps it would have been best to leave some of the effects on the DVD project. Greg Wilson is one of my favorites. I have a large number of his effects, and this was the first let down. Granted, the price was not too high, but I really think it would have been better off left on the DVD. KJ |
