Here are the Google links...
He'll be starring with Henry Cavill/Superman in the "Man Of Steel" sequel. I hope they know what they're doing.

I hope he does for Batman what he did for Daredevil.
Oh wait I mean the opposite. The links didn't work for me.

Just Google it.
Daredevil was a huge letdown.

I've officially lost all faith in humanity.
Seriously, I'm done. In a world where Ben Affleck is cast as Batman, there will never be a voluntary society.

People weren't happy when Michael Keaton was cast, either.

Keaton was great and I think that Affleck will prove to be a good choice for the role.

Affleck is the perfect choice as few can believe he's The Batman. So his secret identity is safe.

I have no opinion either way in truth. Just wanted to make my Daredevil joke.
I have stopped going to movies with any preconceptions. I let the movie people tell me the story they want too. Far less frustrating.

Terrible choice IMO. Affleck has the acting skills of a wooden cabinet and always looks like he's not sure if he's left the gas on at home.

I read that Christian Bale was offered a mammoth pile o' lucre to reprise his role and he turned it down. I really think Bale made the character but I'm glad to see that he doesn't want to play it to death as Depp is with PotC.
Also, a tad off topic, but similar kudos to Viggo Mortenson for turning down reprising his role as Aragorn in The Hobbit trilogy of films. He stated that he felt it would be a disservice to Tolkien's work as Aragorn is not introduced until Lord of the Rings. Hmmm, Affleck as Batman? Maybe it WILL be the Keaton effect. Too bad Karl Urban wasn't considered for the part. I think he would bring an edginess to the role. It seems that Urban is an actor of great versatility and his nailing of McCoy in the Star Trek reboot is wonderful; there's definitely a DeForrest Kelly presence there but Urban doesn't parrot Kelly. Look on the bright side Batman fans! At least we are through the painful performances of Val Kilmer and George Clooney! Affleck will at least be better than they. Anyway, here's hoping that Batman destroys Superman! (Yikes, that was a "Sheldon" moment)! |

I was really hoping for Karl Urban to play Batman.
Well, let's just hope for the best...

Shoulda been Thomas Jane. Age 44, huge comic book fan, in shape, and absolutely great in The Punisher as a mysterious crime fighter type.

Ben Affleck, Ashton Kutcher, Seth MacFarlane, Larry the Cable Guy, Leonardo DeCaprio, George Clooney, etc.- hard for me in my movie mind to escape reality and see them as serious crime fighters like Batman. Patrick Dempsey and Tom Cruise maybe. It will always seem to me it being Affleck acting like Batman, rather than being Batman. That's why I liked Thomas Jane, seemed truly troubled and conflicted.
