I think the whole argument about driving while under the influence of a drug is silly. Some people do just fine driving under the influence of pot, other's don't.
One thing for sure. If I had the choice of having a driver under the influence of alcohol or under the influence of pot, I would choose the pot smoker. No one should be driving under the influence of anything. I have seen driver's who just had a horrible argument with their spouse or friend and they are just as bad if not worse than someone driving under the influence of a substance. Driving should always be done with a clear head and not with anger or distress. People are going to do what they want anyway, legal or not. Pot will be more illegal than ever here in Washington State before the end of 2015 anyway. Prohibition has never worked but here in Washington I believe we will return to prohibition with a vengence. Driving under the influence and Kids smoking will be the ruin of our reasonable new Marijuana policy. Already anytime there is a car accident, the media quickly states that it is not known at this time if Marijuana was involved (something that was not stated as much before decriminalization). The Evil Weed will be made illegal again so only kids will have the easy access and old farts like myself will once again find it very difficult to obtain. The gangs that profit from sales of Marijuana have nothing to worry about. Iven

Sounds interesting but wax? I don't know if wax is good or bad for you. I'm going to be looking for one of these. Iven

I've smoked since Jan 1970. Ya know, I couldn't give a rat's ass if it's legal or not. I've never had a problem finding it. You may be right. Everybody's a freaking VICTIM. Oh...the kids! Ohhh! You don't WANT to know my opinion on that.
Drivers? As long as we have vehicles, we will have wrecks. Fact. I'm not worried about pot smokers. Other drugs and alcohol? Yeah, well... to each his/her own. Get busted driving impaired? I don't feel sorry for ya. Doug |

Portable vaporizers, like the one in that story, are not that new. There are dozens, probably even hundreds, of different makes, styles, etc, and they've been around for several years.
Some that work with "wax" and other concentrates, ones that use oils, as well as ones that use the actual plant matter. Speaking of "wax," I don't think it's an actual "wax." As I understand it, it is one of the forms which hash (essentially just concentrated pot) can be made into. That particular form is dubbed "wax" due to it's resemblance to wax. Think Magicians/Card on Ceiling wax. There's a large amount of videos on YouTube, and the like, of "stoners" demonstrating different "hash" making processes, or end results, as well as demonstrating/reviewing the many varieties of vaporizers mentioned above.

You know, I am very sensitive to Café policy. In 20 states and D.C., cannabis is legal for medical use. In Washington and Colorado it is COMPLETELY legal for those 21 and over. The other 30 states have not been enlightened. For some reason they still consider it harmful, even though Dr. Sanjay Gupta has made his statement.
So condoning it would be illegal in those 30 states. I have mentioned it before. Just because I don't give a .DAMN about archaic laws in this country, I do NOT recommend you break the law in your state! Or your country for that matter. If you live or visit Singapore for example, DO NOT even consider going NEAR cannabis! Google it. See what happens to ya if they catch you. And I do NOT party. I rarely smoke with anyone (but the grower). I use it medicinally. It keeps not only my Glaucoma in check, it helps with insomnia as well. I recently fell, and sprained my foot and twisted my leg. It dulled the pain so I could sleep! No chemical pain killers! This is not for kids. No one under 21 has any BUSINESS using it! There are exceptions. I won't get into that. I use it medicinally, but enjoy it IMMENSELY! The Feds have washed their hands of it, in states that have legalized it. That is a BIG step forward. The fact that Washington just had its first Cannabis Cup is a BIG victory! Doug |

Oh we should definitely have threads on how to use pot on an open forum kids freequent. Good plan.
As for not being impaired while driving high the studies have been posted and ignored by the pot faithful. You can not seriously tell me anyone is a more attentive driver when on pot can you?

We can't successfully convince you of anything (LOL), but none the less if large scale traffic fatalities could be proven to as a result of marijuana use you would have a valid point. Danny What you don't seem to be able to grasp is that there is a big difference between feeling silly, or hungry on pot, and feeling dizzy, and blacking out behind the wheel on booze.

Oh we should definitely have threads on how to use pot on an open forum kids frequent. Good plan. THat statement I do NOT understand. Kids go where they want. My gosh, just Google it. Look at the forums...innumerable! Open forums on growing, curing, smoking, making hash...heck YouTube has a PLETHORA of how-to vids! How many more kids go to YouTube than here? What, ya gonna shut YouTube down? I'm all for parental control. Education. A child should be SUPERVISED while he/she is online! This particular forum is clearly labelled. I assume NO responsiblilty for someone's CHILD. We are working HARD to bring cannabis into the light for those who might benefit from it. To play the "kid card" is just unfair and really ignorant. I'm not pointing a finger at you Danny. I understand what you're saying. Frankly, I'd be TEN times more worried about PORN than any discussion of a harmless plant. Doug |

I have gotten high with a few jugglers, and maybe two or three magicians in my thirty years of performing. It's like I told my wife when we first met "this is what I do. You do not need to participate in order to be my friend". In the 1960's I went to a lot and lots of smoke in's, but the 1960's expired 44 years ago man. LOL

Al you love it and no matter how many facts are shown you don't care. You are a cheer leader once again.
Smoking pot while driving is a huge risk. Huge. It is that simple. You are blinded by ideology. Whatever.

I never smoke outside of the office in my house. I never have any evidence on my body, or in my car. I also never drink anything but diet coke, so when the police stop me late at night I'm always slippery clean. I did not get to be this old by making mistakes my friend.
