Ha. The more I watch this the more I'm tricked. It seems the harder I look the easier I am fooled.

W.O.W. that was awesome. How does one learn the cups and balls in the traditional style?

But how did you learn it, Gary? Who taught you.

If he's referring to you in the article, I would disagree with this part:
"The students are not very regular, they come and go. Among those who have gone about seriously is one from Udupi and an American who was with me for almost a year. But he still has not been able to perform the `cups and balls' trick so far." |

That article was written nine years ago. It's fairly obvious that Gary has improved immensely since then.

It's been a LONG time since a cups and balls routine fooled me. THAT was very refreshing!

I just wanted to let those who have been waiting.
The authentic traditional version of the Hindu Cups and Balls is coming back! I am finishing up my work on Cheppum Panthum and will be releasing the Hindu cups and book with all the real work very soon. Keep your eye on the Magic Café for ads on the release date. I have a limited amount of (coconut shell and coconut wood) Cup and (coconut wood) Wand sets for sale also. Please PM me your name and email address if you are interested in any of this. This information will be kept strictly confidential. There is no obligation. Thank you Steve Brooks, Donnie Buckley and Bill Palmer for all your support. Gary Click here to view attached image. |

I'm mesmerised by this performance.
Gary, will you be releasing the book and cups/wand as a set, or a standalone book? Thank you. |

I really like this last performance. Thanks for posting it. In general I haven't cared much for the Hindu cups performances that I've seen. The balls jump here and there and the performers are obviously skilled, but I guess I want a clearer structure or "plot" to the performances. Maybe it's the language barrier, but most performances look just sort of confusing. This last posting you shared is cleaner and simpler. It also has a nice pace and rhythm -- sort of a musical quality that adds to the pleasure. Thanks again.
