What advice or suggestions Ryan would you offer those using your routines for the first time? Is there a 'way' you have in mind that your card magic be shared so others feel entertained?
Thanks so much for sharing your art with us here. Tom Mason |

Tom-
My style of performance is very laid back because I want to give the illusion to the spectator that they had numerous choices during an effect when reality they probably only had one. By being laid back I believe it sells the fact that you did not influence them. Especially with my hands off stuff I purposely build in numerous options spectator came legitimately make. For instance I may hand the spectator a pile of cards to shuffle but as soon as they start shuffling I say “Do you want to switch some of your cards for these?” as I pick up some extra cards. NOW these extra cards have zero impact on the effect success but I like to plants these seeds in the spectators head so when they look back they know they could have made many different choices that “could” have change the outcome of the effect. To really fool someone you really only need one of these moments but I like to put in 2 -3 in a effect for that brass knuckle punch. =) Ryan |
