Can somebody teach me a proper one?
whenever I do it, the top card will just seem to be twisted when I try to fan it all the way to the right. also, the indexes of the cards are not clearly shown, resulting in a not too even spread of the cards. |

Ken,
Most of us have spent money to buy books or video's which include the pressure fan, it wouldn't be that fair if you were to learn it for nothing would it... Thanks
Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream?

What I mean is, if you want to know, just go to the Library or Barnes & Noble, because as Grumpy Owl is saying, it isn't fair for us to buy and research and then allow others to get it for free.
The ESSENTIAL thing IS PRACTICE. But you are right Shaun, it does need the proper technique, and you can learn that from many sources such as the Library. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Get a new deck and practice a normal fan. Fanning with your thumb then simply replace the action with your finger whilst springing the cards. It has to be done with a fairly sharp twist of teh wrist. once you have done this it is easy with a very old deck.

Dante King has some good videos on how to do card flourishes. Haven't checked his site in a while so I'm not sure if he's still got them up. Google it!

My pressure fan stinks. *sigh* Now I'm a sad flourisher.

There is a free fan tutorial for those that bought CTG. It has the pressure fan, speed fan, thumb fan, and one handed fan from Jerry Cestkowski and De'vo.

Also you can learn it from Jerry Cestkowski's book, Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes, if you have it.

Your cards are probably too new. It's difficult to control the springing of cards that are too slippery.
Practice releasing the cards in a steady flow from your finger tips. If you are getting clumps then you are releasing them in clumps. |

Well, I only use pressure fan when the cards are too old to be "fanned". So... perform with new cards.
