How often do you not only sterilize your equipment but also wash certain equipment?
I live in Cairns, Tropical Far North Queensland- Australia where the temperature sits in the 35 – 37 (that’s 100.4 degree Fahrenheit for my American friends) with an 80 to 90 % humidity in Summer (I love indoor gigs). Cleaning my show equipment is essential. Washable equipment about once/ twice a month, some equipment I have several items to use only once and wash that same show day for the following day. What do you do for your climate? |

When it is dirty is the honest answer. I would not wash my puppets because that might damage them. Sponge balls and the silk ribbon I use, I throw into the pocket of my trousers whenever that goes into the wash. Linking rings, rising wand never get washed. Neither does my hanky. And that is about everything. I replace my deck of cards whenever they need replacing, and my balloons are perishibles, so never need washing.
