I didn't have the chance to watch it. How was my buddy Suchard?

Looked great. He kept things moving quickly and did amazing things. I wish my accent were half as charming as Lior's. A magician friend of mine posted that he was fooled and impressed by Lior Suchard. You can find links to the 2-part clip online.

Just watched it -- great stuff. Unfortunate twist with the spelling of Jack Benny but he played past it well.

Google "Leno Lior" [without quote marks] and links for the two parts on Hulu via DailyMotion come up on the first page.

Try these:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x14z132......t-1_news http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x14z131......t-2_news By "didn't find anything that worked here" did you mean that searching didn't yield results or that the content was blocked outside the US? If the later, try using a proxy server. |

I always enjoy his demeanor and performances...I just wish that hosts (in general) would sit for 5 minutes and not always have the need to try and steal performer's thunder...Even Jimmy cracked a few jokes...Lior is such a professional and I know Jay enjoys having him on but come on - constantly mocking his accent is just tacky and would make me uncomfortable

A performer has to remember he is on their show. Any time a performer tries to take over or control of their show it can be a disaster. Lior stepped all over Jays (b*^ch) line, which is never good to do to a comediam.
I love Lior and his appearances, but any performer has to learn to play to teh host, audience and medium. |

Why are most theatrical "psychics" from Israel?:
Uri Guy Bavali Lior ...is this a trend? |

BTW his performance on the View was one of my favorite appearances on mainstream tv I've seen with a Mentalist in a while... That drawing dup had me stomped for a while.

I loved his performance on the view. I think the tonight show was a little long and too much unjustified writing.

Lior was good, especially under fire. However he did one thing I don't like.
He read Jimmy Fallon's mind, divining the name of the first girl he kissed. Yet at the end this same name is revealed as a prediction too. If he already knew the name (and he used an especially graphic prediction which otherwise I thought a nice touch), it makes no sense to earlier have to go through the process of reading Jimmy's mind. This is a pet peeve of mine as it strikes me as so incongruent. |

Bill, while I do agree with you on some level, I think it is our own knowledge of this field that allows us to see the trees instead of the forest. The regular audience doesn't read 13 Steps or thinks about this stuff on a daily basis. They see it once and awhile and that's probably all the thought they put into it.
I once said this, if a plumber came on and went on and on about various pipes and fittings and such, we would just see it as all the same thing. But at the same time another plumber watching would see the tiny little differences in every pipe shown. They would find inconsistencies when someone talked about one type of fitting when they knew that your really use a certain other type. We, the non-plumbers, would see it all as the same thing. We don't know the subtle differences. Trust me, I've asked my friends who are not into magic or mentalism about things they've watched and they rarely notice the stuff I noticed. I remember when I started studying theater. Suddenly when I went to see a play I noticed bad lighting, weird blocking, etc. Stuff I had never noticed before I was a theater major. I was now looking at the trees and the forest. It might be your pet peeve, but I would bet most of the public watching never had that thought cross their mind. Just my opinion. Greg
