Interpreting the question as "Which one has stuck in your mind as having most impressed you when you first saw it and is the first one you thought of?", I'd say Crazy Man's Handcuffs.
Further thought brings up several more possibilities, but only one was requested... Barry PS I see this brings me to 666 posts - it's going to be one of those days. |

I'm not going to say because some cruel person will deliberately tell me how it's done. I DON'T want to know.
Barry, it's time to visit the Spooky forum while you have the power. LOL!

In person? I'd have to say Charlie Justice's Prohibition . I've done Coin In Glass Bottle for years, and this BLEW ME AWAY! The only other thing that did that was The Raven. Those, to this day, are the most visually stunning effects I do.
Both have been exposed by the Masked Moron. Still, for those who have NOT see that idiot, those are the two BEST, in my opinion. Doug |

I don't know whose trick it is, but I've been shown taught the following a couple of years ago: four aces (four lads) and two queens (four girls) are shown. They're in a night club. The queens are put away on the table (they're at the bar) one ace joins them to pick one up. Suddenly, the two queens and the ace are the four aces, and the girls have gone where I thought the three left aces were. It was brilliantly done, a funny patter, and it fooled me hard. While it's probably not the best magic trick I've ever seen, I hadn't felt that WOW thing in a long time. That'll have to do for this thread. (I'm also interested in knowing whose trick this is!)

Ado, you might be thinking of an Alex Elmsley trick called something like "Separating The Men From The Boys." The plot sounds similar, although he uses the 4 Jacks, 4 Queens, and 4 Kings. It's a fantastic trick with a wonderful story-line. Thanks for reminding me of it .... I'm gonna go practice right now!

I second the floating lightbulb and the Pendragons(at that time) doing the saw in half "Clearly Impossible". Both gave me chills.

Has to be watching Shoot Ogawa and Armando Lucero performing their matrixes,
they had a dueling banjos type of thing going on poolside, one guy would do a version , then the other. That was worth the price of the magic convention right there.

Latimer's cups and balls. I roomed in the same house with him for a week at Abbott's and sat front row center to see him perform. It was utterly jaw dropping.
