There are many Birthday Card Tricks and I am going to put one of Simon Aronson's into my bag of tricks.
For others who performed the Birthday Card Trick you might find this bit of information to be used as a food for thought during the presentation. This is from the link http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/technology/2......irthday/ "Oct. 5 is the most common birthday in the United States, according to a survey conducted by AnyBirthday.com. On any given day, an estimated 750,000 Americans celebrate a birthday, but today, more than 960,000 will celebrate their special day. And why is Oct. 5 such a popular day for babies’ entering the world? One possible explanation is that the length of an average pregnancy is around 274 days. Counting backward, the date of conception for Oct. 5 babies would be New Year’s Eve. Conversely, the website found that the most uncommon birthday is May 22, although it gave no explanation as to why." Obviously this wouldn't work for a children's magic show but an adult gathering might find this data interesting. Anyone here born on Oct 5th? |

What, over 50 people have viewed this and nobody has said, "That's cool Steve."
I thought it was just one of those interesting tidbits to keep in one's head. I realize my post didn't give any tips on a side steal or other sleights. As Rodney Dangerfield used to say, " This is a tough room to work." And not one person out of those 50 something born on Oct 5th? |

My best friend was born on October 5th. Just asked him if he's noticed whether a lot of people have the same birthday. He said, yes, and that one time he got out of a speeding ticket because he and the cop shared the October 5 birthday.

You should post the article in the Little Darlings section. I'm sure a lot of birthday entertainers would like to have access to this info.
