Oh, I do Roger. I was merely trying to dampen your ego a trifle as an example to both Potty and Eric.

Actually, writer, I will tell you. I've had people on here say they don't like dress, etc. That's OK. I can take that. Potty doesn't give constructive criticism. He tries to get a reaction and attacks. He made me into heavy drinker. Really? I don't take kindly to that. Its an attack. He's not a friend. If James Munton came on here and said he didn't like my outfit, it would bounce of me. He's a friend. Potty know there is one reaction he's getting from me

Once again potty, nobody has vouched for you. Steve, you neither. You got blasted on other forums, Steve. Why? Haven't trouble playing with others?

Eric. YOu do know that you and Potty are arguing in the wrong place-don't you? I am not going to say where the correct place is because I don't want to draw attention to it but both you and Potty know where I am talking about. It is far too public here. You and he need to sort out your differences there rather than here. And you will have more defenders there too.

By the way Potty, you keep ignoring proof I'm giving you. Google the Huffington post the great zucchini. How many examples do you want? I've given you many-you haven't proven any cache

Roger and I are experienced professionals, with decades of experience. Even if GZ is a far superior entertainer (he's not, but just for the sake of argument), he can still learn a heap from those who have made their living out of entertaining since before he was born. Our knowledge of marketing and presentation, leaves GZ standing, apart from those couple of newspaper articles, now long forgotten. GZ's claim that he's come up with a new strategy for marketing is nonsense. I did everything he does, marketing-wise, long before he looked at our profession, and took onboard some of our ideas. The only "original" thought GZ has had, is not to wear a costume. I guess I'd have been successful too, even if I didn't bother about a costume. But, that is a minor element in a grand design. The real masters of theatre will look at GZ, and be astonished at his extremely poor blocking skills, inability to connect with kids (despite his ridiculous claims, just watch that clip.) NO real interaction at all, in over six minutes! Wow, it's about as bad as it gets, Zuke, and you think you're a "Kidshow Rockstar"? It's now obvious that Zuke doesn't have any personal messages, letters, pictures, etc, from his fans. I do. Literally hundreds, and hundreds of them. I have two big, fat files full of them, Zuke. Every one, from a child who was mesmerised by Potty the Pirate. I'm sorry that you don't have files like that, but in all honesty, I already knew you didn't. Because, if you did, you wouldn't need to make the extravagant claims that you do. Don't try to hustle me, GZ, you don't stand a chance. I've busked, hustled, and survived in the worst ghettos on the planet. I know every scam and trick in the book, that's what I do. I'm highly educated, extremely well-read, and will eat you for breakfast. Your videos are all that's needed to see that you are very, very inexperienced. You should consider yourself unbelievably lucky, if you've really fallen on your feet, as you claim. But, you MUST work on your skills. Quite funny, I'm interested to see who still thinks you're a genius, after watching your lacklustre performances. And, thanks for a hilarious day, I was tired after the weekend's shows, and it's been most amusing, to see the "real GZ". |

Well, I know jolly is successful because he has a likeability factor that you don't have. You claimed I don't play games. You made tthat assumption from 6 minutes. Once again, you will never you get it. Anyone who entertains, gets letters. You've spent the day bragging and I don't care about you. You've been threatened by me since I joined Café. Read, the two year old thread. You were threatened then and now-this was 6 minutes you watched. It didn't me interviewing kids, etc. BTW, in DC, people bring up my stories all the time. Nobody forgot about. This is my last post in this thread. I know the truth about you and I don't believe your all there. I gave it a day, but it doesn't matter to me what you think. BTW, did you Google Ryan Reynolds Fx

Where are your skills? What's it all about? You claim you have stuff to show me, to prove that the kids love you? Go on, then, put some up here. Real pictures and messages from your fans. You are no threat to me, GZ, for a start, you live in another country, and secondly, I don't need the endorsement of other entertainers, to believe that I can do my job. That's not why I'm here, but clearly, you are here mostly to accept your accolades and gain recognition. You say you "know the truth about me". Fascinating. Do tell, because I'd really like to hear that line of bu*****t. Do you actually know how to conduct a conversation without exaggeration and fantasy? GZ, you have some skills that are great for a kids' entertainer. But you're not as good as you think you are. I've seen your work, and it's very, very poor. "Plenty of room for improvement". For instance, when handling a puppet, you might like to consider it as more than just a gadget to stick on your hand like a glove. Your rabbit in the hat was one of the worst things I've ever seen, from ANY kids' entertainer. It was worse than even the most naive, ignorant beginner. Incredibly badly delivered, and your "acting" made me cringe. We are paid to "act the fool", but there's a way to do it, and a way not to do it. It would be nice to see a better clip of GZ, surely there's something out there, which won't horrify me? |

So busy? You're the only one that says that. Potty vouches for potty-Im all over Internet-did you Google Ryan Reynolds fx, or the great zucchini Huffington post or many mommy blogs. I'm done with you Potty. DVD is being shipped to Robbins and Murphy's tomorrow and Potty, you may order one, but somehow I think it takes someone with knowledge of little kids to understand it. The rest of you, it will be out shortly

Just watched the six minute clip and honestly, its was good. GZ comes across as very likable. Many of the issues I saw in the trailer were not there and his energy level is superb. He looks cleaner in this clip and the stage is tidier. He still doesn't have the usual table, banners, props etc that other magicians do, but that's what makes him different. Having said that, I would still advise he buys a suitcase table for transporting the props around and making the setup and pack-down faster. But that's merly mechanics and what the video is showing us is his endearing style.
Honestly, the show that six minute clip came from is the one I want to watch. |

You know, I am in a mischevious mood and I have just thought of something. This is a very public site and everything comes up on search engines. Lots of people must search for Eric in the Washington area and come up here and see all this brouhaha since Eric always uses his real name on here. I don't know whether this fuss is good for business or not and for all I know it may be because controversy does attract attention. I would suggest that any customers of Eric's or any parent who has seen him work gives their opinion and confirms that he is the genius he says he is or if they prefer they can say the complete opposite. No fake reviews please.
I would also suggest to Eric he comes back to the buskers Café forthwith where he can argue with Potty in private. Potty is saying rude things about him over there and Roger is expressing great amusement over the matter. And I do think it far easier to offer my spiritual counsel to him in that more exclusive setting. |

Well, I thought about that too. I tested it out already. Lots come up already before this, but this is my last point here. Lol. I went in national magazine article and said I gamble and smoke. This doesn't hurt me and parents here are not going to waste their time, however, there tons of mommy blogs about me. One to Google is called, ',what's so great about zucchini anyway

This image stuff can be overdone. The GZ is real, flaws and all. There is a certain appeal in that and is a big part of his success. Many people prefer to deal with someone like the GZ instead of some plastic phony baloney. Now, if politicians would learn that…
PS Oh my, I saw something in writer25's last post that makes me think he is.....Well, there go this thread!

Eric. You really must come back to the Buskers Café. Danny Hustle has just torn into Potty for being rude and he has praised you to the skies for your work saying you are the best entertainer of toddlers he has ever seen.

Wow, you guys sure know how to get off topic
Remember the topic heading. ---------------------------------- "..you're not entertaining a 4 year old and 15 year old with same stuff. You're not. You think you are because 4 year old is sitting in audience and hasn't left, but you're not. " Taking the statement at face value, without tying it to specific routine, person or act, is this an accurate statement? ---------------------- Now did you see how fair I was. I did not mention WHO said it. If G. Zuc would have kept his ego out of it, he could have actually read a non influenced response. It would have been a good topic to debate if he did not admit to saying it. G. Zuc, if you had thought about it, I was making a point that a statement can stand on its own if the words are valid. But then add cache and you get lovers and haters just based on name alone. I thnk you need to think this over and others need to look how this starting falling apart shortly after you responded that you stated it. I found your comment curious and worth some self inspection but I wanted others to chime in to see how many feel that way. This was not supposed to be about YOU, G. Zuc. But since it has gone to you again and basically a dead thread I will try , to explain my position and why it came to your lack of show dress. First, off. I was raised with a pride in myself and dress. So even on days off, around the house, I would nto dress in an undeshirt. In fact I do not own any white undershirts or tighty whities. So many say- "so what that is his character, why do you bring it up?" Well first is it comes across as a lack of pride in one's self. It makes me feel you do not care about yourself. Second, it leads me to feel it is a lack of respect for your client. We all have to do things that we would rather not do. So putting on clean shirt is just a sign of respect to the client. But again, you might ask, why does this matter , it is his show and he can do what he wants. Right but here is the hinge. G. Zuc is selling a video. Unless he put it out for kicks, for his ego, he is puttig out to make a few bucks. Otherwise, why do it? So I must go on the assumption he wants to "sell" his ideas. If not, he would be putting it up at cost or free on the internet! Well , he should know not everyone is his market in the magic world so he needs as many childrens performers as possible to WANT to buy his video . Marketing 101 is to convince people they NEED his video. All smart companies make you WANT something you do not really need. With that in mind, people want to know about the performer to know if their information is useful. They want some proof that the person on the DVD is good and can teach them stuff . If they cant, no reason to spend the money. And thus, that is why I made the comments about dress in that other thread. that is all, this thread seems to be dead and for once I did not kill it. So what if the magician does not know the author of the DVD? He or she has to go by what information they can find. So if they see someone they feel might not respect themselves or audience, they question the material. |
