April was 400th consecutive warmer than average month:

It is the same. Wealth is finite. So you want to bring everyone's wealth down until everyone is equal. Lowest common denominator. You just want to hang an air freshener on it so it seems reasonable. I don't blame you.

There is no wealth scarcity. There is plenty of wealth on the planet enough for everyone. The problem is those who want it all for themselves, and who throughout history have stopped at nothing to take it. If the system works for you, I can understand your defending it. I don't blame you. The rest of the world, not so much.

The system works for a majority, regardless of Marx. And since you have no alternative it is going to stay that way.

I then clicked on the link in the Forbes article to the NOAA article that they linked to. You'll never guess the headline of the NOAA article. (At least, you'd never guess it by the title of the Forbes article that references it!) Ready? "U.S. had its coldest April in more than 20 years" http://www.noaa.gov/news/us-had-its-cold......20-years Kinda supports my other post about the presses bias. Even Forbes is able to turn an article from the NOAA about the coldest month in more than 20 years to an article with the title, "April Was The 400th Straight Hotter Than Average Month". That's pretty darn hilarious. |

What’s hilarious is that the statistic I cited refers to *global” temperatures – not U.S. temperatures! The fact is that a single cold U.S. April in no way mitigates or trivializes “global” warming. And, as I said before in my baseball analogy, the story is not that Jones batted .180 for 2 weeks in August – it’s that he batted .420 for the season! There’s no need to headline and dramatize his August slump, as it’s a non-story. And likewise, the story is not that the U.S. had a cold April – the big story is that AGW is occurring! So there is no “bias” because there isn't “two sides”. There is just one overriding conclusion from the scientific community. Do you also consider the media biased for not giving equal time to flat earthers? And you haven’t answered… do you accept the scientific conclusion that human-caused global warming is occurring? Ron

Oh come on. Don't be so ignorant.
You've got an article with a title that says: "April was the 400th straight warmer than average month due to global warming" Then, within the article, they say, "April was also the 3rd warmest April ever recorded, according to NOAA's analysis." And the link they provide goes to an NOAA article with a title that says, "U.S. had its coldest April in more than 20 years" You really don't see anything wrong with that?!?!? |

Again, you're conflating U.S. temperatures with global temperatures! It's possible for April to be a cold month in the United States and still be warmer than average on a GLOBAL scale. AGW is about GLOBAL climate - not local (U.S.) climate. And no climate scientist ever said we can't have a locally cold month every now and then. But the long term global data continues to pile up and point to one conclusion. Don't you think that FOUR HUNDRED consecutive warmer than average months is remarkable?? Way more remarkable than ONE (locally) cold month?
And, again do you accept the scientific conclusion that global warming is occurring - and that human activity is the main cause? Ron

Ozone Destroying Chemical Returns
Emissions of the compound CFC-11 are up 25% since 2012 even though it was banned under the 1987 Montreal Protocol. Scientists warn that if they can't find the reason for the rise, the chemical could DELAY THE OZONE LAYER'S HEALING FOR A DECADE. TIME 4 Jun 2018, page 13 Introducing: The Montreal Protocol https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal_Protocol Trichlorofluoromethane, CFC-11, was formerly used in the drinking bird novelty, largely because it has a boiling point of 23.77℃ (74.79℉). The replacement, dichloromethane, boiling point 39.6℃ (103.3℉), requires a higher ambient temperature to work. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichlorofluoromethane |

Uh... the article you yourself quoted in your daily caller link says, "Arctic sea ice has declined faster than models predicted" and "summer sea ice since 2007 hit levels not expected until mid-century" which confirms what Pop's quotation said: "The atmosphere and ocean have warmed, the amount of snow and ice have diminished." Whether Polar Bears can adapt or not, is another question entirely; but your own linked article maintains that the oceans are getting warmer, and the Arctic ice is diminishing. I don't know why you didn't mention that in your post.
And not one polar bear mentioned in the article Pop quoted. So, no, not rubbish.
