LIke to perform magic? Do you wat to destroy people? Then get The Haunted Doll by Rogue and System6 and you will do just that. The look, size, construction and secret are all perfection! They took something that was a Chevrolet Chevette ( it ran, but looked horrible ) and turned it into a Porsche 918 Spyder! )
In case you haven't seen the trailer: http://www.system6magic.com/collections/......system-6 The improvements over the Okito Doll are measurable. The Haunted Doll looks spooky and the modus operandi is cleverly masked. You can open the DVD case and perform it immediately. And you will perform it. And people will be mesmerized by it. Magic Café member daffydoug's idea of putting it on a cord around your neck is brilliant You will be hard pressed to encounter anyone that doesn't make a comment on it. Then it's up to you if you want to perform it ( I say that because almost everyone will make comments and you may not want to always do something ). Do you like to perform magic for a hobby, but don't want to take out cards or coins in hopes they will want to see a trick? Wear the Haunted Doll and you'll be performing a stellar piece of magic without being asked or even mentioning that you're a Magician. What you do after is up to you, but you'd better have something spectacular ( Justin Miller's Ring Slide, or Legend, things like that ). I think the Haunted Doll is best performed silent. It really speaks volumes without having to say a word. Now, it is a conversation piece, so I made make up a short New Orleans type story to answer their question of what it is. The DVD is very well done and broken down into segments: Introduction by Rogue ( I like him ). The Secret Improvements Handling Performance Tips Performances Bonus Idea ( done on your leg ). |

Just got my doll.. Really impressed. Did it for my wife today after playing with it for an hour to get a good hand placement etc.. Really cool and she was very impressed. Let her check the doll but she didn't find anything fishy
I have a question tho. The gimmick is very loose for me.. Anyone else have this? Is it supposed to be very loose? I was considering finding a good spot I will use in a fixed hand, and just glueing it.. But not sure if its a dumb thing, as it might be hard to do it in the other hand if I do.. Hmm, tips and suggestions is welcome on how to make it less loose? And if you don't have it. Get it! Its awesome!

Zombie Magic : WOW! This Write up is even better than the original! Definitely more descriptive and exactly what buyers need to know. With your permission I would to personally switch our ad copy for yours, I would also love to send this out to all of our vendors along with TON 'a of the great quotes that some of the Real Users have given it here on the Café. This has not had the marketing dollars behind it like we would have liked it to, but I feel The people have spoken! I feel the Haunted Doll iHas become a Winner by peoples Choice. WOOHOOO
Love, Hugs, And Applesauce. - Devonte Hey Havegrim, I have your answer: Rogue himself says he places a very small drop of Crazy Glue on the gimmick, after he's adjusted it as he likes. The doll is made to have the gimmick me movable but should hold its place while performing as to not interrupt in the performance. So once again a YES, a small drop of Crazy glue will do the trick, Rogue says he does this every other month or so, Keep in mind Rogue performs the Haunted Doll hundreds of times along with "sharpien-ing" up the appendages. I recite an incantation, silently to myself, just barely moving my lips as if I'm communicating to the eerie figure. And the Haunted Doll starts to rise! I've been sick in bed all day, but my haunted doll is on the stand next to me where I can see it, so I can dream about getting out of this sick-bed soon and getting out where autonomous carbon units  are milling about, performing  their dreary,  meager, mundane tasks, so that I can wow the pants off of mere humans .Â
I don't know how else to say it, but this effect has had a definite BRIGHTENING effect on my life. If you are like I am and live to perform random acts of magic everywhere you go, but you despise "begging" people to "see some magic" (and God forbid you pull out a deck of cards ), then H.D. will fill that niche, and fill it wonderfully. Having it on you, especially as a necklace, will give you the confidence that every day you live will be filled with the thing that brings you the most happiness, It will DEFINITELY brighten your days. And as I mentioned earlier, when people find out about your magical skills, there is a good chance that you are going to run into someone who will say "Hey! We've been looking for a magician for our upcoming ...." So in effect, the H.D. is superior than carrying around business cards. What business cards do you know that will leave this kind of memorable impression? They may forget a business card, but the doll will leave an indelible impression that will set you apart. Trust me, when you get it, you will be a man on a mission, and you will have what you need to fulfill that mission. Kudos to Devonte and System 6 for releasing this gem to the magic community. This is the GOOD STUFF, man! Daff We now return you to your regularly scheduled programing.

Got mine tonight. Here's my two cents...
I wasn't familiar with the method, but after reading all the posts about the effect, I had an idea what to expect. That said, the great reviews & especially the ideas about personalizing it was what sold me originally... When I first opened the DVD case I had moment of trepidation, as I was worried that I would need "special skin" or even that there may have been a little too much "Magic Café" hype going down on all the treads. I watched the The Secret on the DVD, and then attempted to do the effect a few times...and failed miserably. I don't want to give away the secret, but for my first attempts, I definitely had trouble "sticking the landing". Little did I know that this was purely due to my own trepidation... Initially feeling a little disappointed, I continued to watch the DVD's Handling & Performance Tips. While I enjoyed the candid talk Six & Rogue shared about the effect, part of me was still salty that I couldn't play with it perfectly "right out of the box". Little did I know that it would soon all make sense... As I watched the Performances section, I casually played around with different placements in my hand. After awhile, I realized that the gimmick seemed to look a little more "vicious" then it's "bite", and decided to just "go for it" (you'll know what I mean if you watch the DVD). After I decided to just stick the landing without fear, it worked perfectly!!! Once I got over my initial trepidation, a light-bulb clicked, and it immediately became super easy! This thing is so fun to play with!!! This might not make sense unless you have it, but once you have it set in place, you can basically "will" it to rise - and it looks awesome! I've literally have made it rise perfectly 30-40 times in a row just sitting hear reading all the threads. It's become second nature, and every time it's still fun to do. As for any pain - just don't worry about it! That was my problem from the start, but once I realized it's really nothing at all, the effect seemed to work almost "magically". As for personalizing it, I took a sharpie & colored the ends, and then I took a lighter & burned them. The charred effect looks AWESOME! I'm looking at it now & the thing just looks spooky as sh*t! lol I can't wait to visit some thrift stores & flea markets to find the perfect vessel to char up & hold this thing in. Put some burlap in there, some twine, a little dirt and scorch marks, and this thing is creepy as hell. To wrap this up. I just got this tonight & already have thirty bucks of enjoyment from just practice (I think there is an Allen Iverson joke there, but I'm not sure magicians would get it..). If you think this type of effect would work for you, just buy it...it's money WELL spent. Once it "clicks" it's super easy, and super cool. My only hope is that you put the time into making the effect a "performance" - as it really deserves to be one. PS: This might sound like "spooky" hype, but I had a serious case of deja vu while practicing with the Haunted Doll!... I don't every recall owning either of the previous incarnations (if I did, it would of had to be over thirty years ago, and I'm nearly forty), but while practicing with the doll I had a huge eerie sense of doing so before. I mean, it was REALLY strong. Like I would swear I had practiced working with that type of gimmick before, but can't recall doing so whatsoever..). Not sure what that means, but nether-the-less you can now call me a huge fan of the effect. I'll be posting pics when I find the perfect "home" for it. |

Daff here again from sick-bed central. The first day I owned the doll and took him out in public for his debut, after a day of blowing mere mortals away, I went home, and when I had gotten inside the house, I looked down at my necklace, and to my horror, it was bare! The spooky little guy had detached himself and fallen off SOMEWHERE in the big, vast world, and I PANICKED! If you've ever had a child come up missing, then you know what I am describing. Thoughts of his little face on a milk carton somewhere filled my mind! Finding him again was truly going to be like the proverbial needle in the haystack. Even worse, if someone had stepped on him, he could be seriously injured and perhaps suffer from serious crushing injuries. It was dark so I took a flashlight and began to search the pathway from the doorstep to our vehicle. It was strewn with sticks and fallen leaves, and due to his similitude to a stick, I suspected that he would blend in, and finding him could be a hopeless endeavor. Time passed. A good half hour went by. My heart was beating fast, and my eyes were on the verge of tears, when suddenly I spotted the little guy on the ground among the leaves and sticks next to the car door where I had gotten out! My relief was was indescribable as my trembling fingers  gently picked him up and brought him once again into the safety and warmth of the house. The little guy was obviously scared half out of his wits, shivering with cold, but at least he was safe. It was almost immediately after that, that my sickness struck, nailing me to this bed. but as I said, little creepy Carl  is safe now, on my stand within reach. But my next worry is that I hope he doesn't catch whatever I have. Pray for him.

Ok I performed the Haunted Doll in public for the first time today. It was awesome! They tried to find out how it worked, and finally decided I had a magnet implanted in my hand. I let them examine the doll and they didn't find any gimmick. Also I did it in both my left and right hand. They insisted I had to do it "just one more time!". I did it about 8-10 times in a row in different hands, and no one noticed anything. So lets say it's foolproof from any angle in any hand. If you don't know where to look, the gimmick is impossible to find. If you know where it is, it's easy to believe others will find it too, but they won't .

DJ ,
Glad to hear about your success! Sounds like you really had 'em going! They concluded the ol' magnet in the hand, eh? Lol! Curious about the demographic of your performance. What age group were they, etc?

Got mine.. I chose to examine it before I watched the dvd,
and couldn't find any 'secret parts.' .. When I gave up and watched the dvd, I said, 'How the heck did I miss that?' .. .. So I would not have a problem handing it out. .. Great job, sir. ...

Hey Daff (& HD members), after reading your post about almost loosing your lil guy, not sure how your attaching your HD to your necklace, but I just figured a simple way to keep mine attached without the original way I used to secure mine. I was having prob's with making sure my HD was secure but easy to remove & replace without tying/untying-retying....... I used a small 1/4" metal ring from a key fob. I slide ring onto leather necklace up about 2"'s, put the doll in it with necklace/strap under arms-around front of waist/chest with lace leads at rear & up over your head/neck. Slide the little metal ring behind to back of HD - Wallah ! Secured on necklace & easy / fast to remove, perform & replace
& just finished 2nd HD box with old Witch alphabet Thaben Script, warning & protection spells engraved on it Will post some new pics later tonight. Getting ready to hit the Harvest festival today with the wife & see if the holiday spirits might be extra playful there |

HD is everything claimed to be and more! Couldn't be happier with my purchase of HD, in fact, purchased another one and considering purchasing one more. Still working on my presentation of the HD. Earlier in this thread "smoke" was mentioned, which seems like a great idea. Has anyone worked out the "smoke" idea yet? If so, any recommendations as to what "smoke" product would work best in conjunction with HD?
