FYI - I added an idea to present this with a box & wrapping I've done with mine that came out great down in Secret Sessions in the "Haunted doll & system 6 ideas" thread.

Merlin, I'm rather new to the Café. How can I join in on the conversation in the Secret Session. Someone just wrote to me about what if the Gimmick moves a bit. Wanted to pay the Tip forward, basically to have the gimmick be motionless, Rogue recommends a Drop of Crazy Glue
PS: For my fellow magicians, who have not joined the dark-side by owning their own Haunted Doll.. We are now SHIPPING Visit http://www.system6magic.com/collections/......system-6 Love, Hugs, and Applesauce - Devonte Quote:

Got mine, love it. Showed my wife and she said "You have to do that at our Halloween party, that's awesome!". So I did, and it was. She also said, "did you just get that? was it expensive?" and I changed the subject.
I'd pay $30 if I had to if I needed to replace mine, but is there any chance you guys might offer just the doll a little cheaper for those of us who have purchased the dvd w/doll and want a backup or replacement? Same deal was offered with Alan Rorrison's "Smoke" and other effects that need refills or replacements. We obviously don't need another dvd and it would be great to have this option. |

Today one doll arrived in Finland.
When I saw the envelope in the postbox, it felt like Halloween and Christmas in the same. (Hallostmas? Christween?) When I opened the envelope, my heart skipped a beat, because the dvd case was open and dvd peeking out of the case. Luckily dvd had only got some minor scratches, alltough it affected to the video in some parts. but it was still viewable. Doll itself was unaffected. First impression about the doll: It looked too new for my taste but it's nothing that lighter, black sharpie and Citadel's Devlan Mud washe won't fix. :3 Haven't had a change yet to perform this to laymen, so can't say anything about that yet. Next on the list is to find secure and sturdy box for this little gem.

Here's something I did with my doll (no reveals of secrets);
I found a cool odd little shallow playing card box from the Salvation Army store for $1. just the right size for the doll & had some old burlap sack bag. I cut out a 7" x 10" piece,used some of my dark walnut aging dye to help give it an older look. I then used a lighter & burned all around the edges (some spots heavier than others) & then used the lighter to burn a similar stick figure in the center of the burlap with the 10" vertically, just a little larger than the doll (accidentally burned a small hole were head & cross at body & arms are, but ended up adding to the over all look). I place the doll in the center on top of the burned figure in burlap folding top down,then bottom up, then left & right sides & wrapped hemp twine around it to keep it closed & placed in box.It also to help give it a nice charred smell of the dark powers.....LoL Before I had it wrapped in the burlap & inside the box, when I put down the box & slowly opened it up, removed & slowly unwrapped doll - I had great "what is that ?" reactions that helped the mysterious Haunted Doll effect. But after I aged,burned edges & doll impression on burlap,burned doll appendages,paint touch-upped metal ends & wrapped it back up into box & re presented it,..........got more of a "Holly Cr*p, what h3ll is that !!??!!", performed it for a few people & got outstanding reactions !!!! Just the unwrapping & seeing the doll like that & the burned impression of it on the burlap really creep-ed people out !  Definitely plan on future using it with my Witches theme with my Ipswich & WA. Such a simple little thing that brings soooooo much to an effect - creep factor 10+ ! Lov'in me my doll guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I second you on that, I would also like to see Merlin Post some pictures. People from all over are writing in with original Patter/ Presentation/ and tips on how to make your doll even spookier. We would love it if anyone with great ideas (Merlin) to copy and paste your ideas in the "Latest and Greatest" Post
Alexander - It looks like you've got some crazy ideas/ presentation Quote:

Thanks Merlinsmagic.
Looks beautiful and definitely awesome after the rest of the aging. Have you tought about soaking the cloth in coffee or to do something else to make it look older? Devontemagic: yes I do have some sinister plans :3 and I shall post pictures as they take shape in reality.
