All of a sudden the audio on my Windows 8 PC stopped working. I have external speakers attached, and it has been fine - up until today. But for some unknown reason I couldn't get any audio at all from youtube videos or my music files. I went into the audio device settings and I could get the speakers to "ping" from there, so I know the speakers work. When I tried to run a music file, I got a message that said something like "You need to upgrade this app - go to the app store." I went to the app store and saw a couple vague entries for "music and videos" and installed those, but still no luck. I uninstalled the audio device and reinstalled it and restarted my machine, and now I can play my music files just fine. But... I still can't get audio from youtube videos! This is frustrating to say the least. Any ideas from the PC gurus out there?
Thanks a bunch, Ron

Well, it was a bit of an ordeal, but I'm glad I got it working again! After getting a couple more error message popups, I clicked one of them that brought to a website called http://www.speakup.com (or something like that). I selected my brand of speakers from the list, and typed in some other information. It asked how old my speakers were, where they were purchased, etc. I even had to dig up the serial numbers. Then I put in my zip code and the last 4 digits of my social security number. Then, it took me to some other site where I was able to download the Windows "revive" app. after confirming the make of my PC and the first 3 digits of my social security number. I also had to list the websites I visit most often that have audio content. At the end of all that, I got a message that said, "Congratulations! Your audio drivers have been upgraded with AudioTrap.Mov." What a pain. Anyway, thanks guys!
