Harry Anderson had released an improved version of the old expanding dollar bill trick. (X-Pan-Dough)

My understanding is that the fold was much improved.

However I don't recall what he named it, and my Google searches are fruitless.

Does anyone have any knowledge or information about the effect and even beyond that where I could possibly obtain one ?

The effect is called "Big Money" - it's a very nice version of the expanding bill effect. You might want to check with Harry to see if he is still making them (I had heard that he wasn't, but that could have changed). Meir Yedid also usually carries anything that Harry sells (http://www.mymagic.com/).

Hope this helps. Tx -

I don't know how to personally get in touch with Harry, but on viewing Meir's site, I see that a lot of Harry's effects are SOLD OUT. I'm glad I had the foresight to purchase a lot of Harry's magic way back in the past, such as "Jumbo Marked", "Royal Fantasy", etc.

But I am beginning to hold little hope of finding "Big Money". Future looks dark on that one, guys.

I purchased this (autographed) directly from Harry at

Harry Anderson

plus several others of his tricks for sale. He will send you a price list if you ask for it and he seems to have most things in stock.

Hank Lee was the only dealer to sell Harry Anderson's Big Money, I thought it was said, Hank Lee got all the remaining Big Money tricks from Harry after his write review in the a magic magazine.

All Hank Lee stock has been purchased by Trick Supply, you can purchase it here at a reduced price:

I understand. if memory serves, that Harry had innovated a better fold that opens more rapidly?

I recall that the original effect before Harry got hood of it, was called "X-pan-dough"

Anybody here can confirm these things or set me straight?

No, Magic Inc. sold the 1st version of the expanding dollar. Can't remember the name of it, but it is in with my other bill tricks. Then came X-pan-dough, and then many many years later the Harry Anderson.

Loftus is selling one, but is no good at all. The printing is superior, but at the local magic shop I bought it, and took it out of the package, pulled and it ripped almost complete. Taped and tried again, and it ripped again in a different place. The fold is totally wrong on this. It was not cheap and I had to throw it away.

Then before all these, there was Lu Brent's Bills to one jumbo bill. Then Billy McComb put out one through Abbott's Bills to Biggies.

Tried to get the guy that is making Tyvek bills to make the Lu Brent version up, but he is just sitting on it.

Any experience with Harry's iteration of the effect?

I recall seeing Harry perform it on a TV commercial as a quick demonstration to augment some product he was promoting, but I don't recall what the product was.

Dave Devin has one similar.

I don't have a spam filter on my I-phone and it's my only source of Internet now because I don't have a home p.c.

Anyway, I already ordered the effect from tricks supply (formerly Hank Lee) and it's on the way. Also I got it at a deep discount.

But it sure would be nice to hear from good ol' Harry. But if he were going to respond, I would think he would have by now.

The effect arrived today, and I am truly delighted with the improved fold. Most definitely opens more rapidly than the earlier iterations of this effect.

I've had interest in the Big Money effect, thanks for the reference on Trick Supply.

Penguin Magic is selling the "Live" presentation or Harry A. Its not clear what he teaches on that, but it is demo'd on the preview clip. Somewhere on the download, I read that Harry is writing back to people, and he is selling at some of his stuff
