If there's not much traffic I'll back in. Makes for a quick get away.

I just wish that however people park, backing in, or heading in, they would stay between the lines and not take up two spaces.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

It makes it a bit easier to leave. If I have to back out, my turning ability is affected by whoever parks next to me, and clearance behind me is affected by whoever is in the spaces across the row behind me. I only back into spaces where I anticipate the possibility of being boxed in if I don't. First guy in is always at the mercy of whoever parks around you. I can drive by the mirrors as good as anyone, but why not make the job easier when you can?

Invariably, some idiot will back in to the space next to me totally missing the lines and end right up against my car. One time, I happened to be looking when it happened. So I stood there while the lady got out of her car. She looks at me with this deer in the headlights look and says, "Am I too close"? You've got to wonder. |

OK, speaking of Wal Mart parking lots... Let's say you see a parking space, start to turn in, and then you notice a shopping cart that some kind soul left there to remind you someone was there before you. Do you A) Get out and move it and then finish pulling in, B) Retreat and find another spot, or C) Bang it until you can fit in the space?
I will admit to having done all three. Much depends on my mood and the weather.
