Critter if you get into it with a guy who has no idea what he is doing with a knife you will get cut. Police used to be trained not to use the PR_24 but rather to shoot suspects with knives. If they are wielding and threatening that is.
Knives can be incredibly dangerous in the wrong hands.. Deadly in the right hands. Interesting question about carrying them though. Certainly even the most staunch second amendment supporters would acknowledge that it is much more difficult to accomplish a high body count with a knife. Heck it might be easier with a bat! Al lots of cowards just run their mouths reckless on the internet as well. You know the type. Bitter old men with an axe to grind constantly name calling.

Definitely agree about the dangers.
Thanks to action movies a lot of us tend to overestimate ourselves and end up in situations we might not have if we were feeling more logical. The best way to handle any altercation is still to avoid it, IMO.

I do a machete juggling routine, a torch juggling routine, and bowling ball juggling routine in my shows.

Hi Stone,

Knives are not protected by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. There is some developing case law on that, I think, and there is interest in some quarters in showing that the Second Amendment does in fact protect the human right of keeping and bearing edged weapons. Hi Pakar, Quote:
There was a time not so long ago when everyone carried a knife, in almost all cultures. A knife is an extremely useful tool. Probably the single most essential tool to have with you in the woods. The northern Scandinavian (Finnish) knife is carried in a sheath that extends almost the entire way up the handle - because if you lose your knife in the snow, you will likely die. When I was a boy in primary school, in the United States, all of us boys carried a pocketknife with us at all times. Especially the Cub Scouts. If the teacher had a box or a package to open, she would ask if one of us boys had a pocketknife. It was a standard tool. The idea that schoolchildren are today expelled from school for life, for carrying a pocketknife seems insane to me. |
