Hey guys. Just came across this on Paul's site. Does anyone have the skinny on this, or have gotten a sneak peek?

I ask because I'm in the market for a new ESP deck. I have Beyond ESP, and while I love the simplicity of these Zener cards, the markings can be very challenging to read, especially in low light.

I think I've decided to go with the Paralabs deck after David Theils' review. I'm just curious as to how Paul's cards can compare. I have the feeling they actually won't be comparable at all...as they will be two totally different things.

I don't see any ESP cards, I saw all his pocket mentalism cards, but not just plain ESP cards
Link or name?

UPDATE: I found on the new products a title Wallet zenner cards, but no picture of information, is this what you are referring to?

Let me say that you will not be let down with the paralabs ESP deck. I have owned many different sets from different makers and for me, they are at the top of the food chain. The ma**ings are so easy to see yet so devious, not to mention they feel like a testing card rather then a playing card. I have not heard or seen anything on Paul's cards but I'm sure they will be fantastic, just like everything else he puts out.

Pabloinus...yes those are what I am talking about. They are under the " Coming Soon" category.

Darren, that's what I keep hearing Smile

Like I said, I'm pretty sure these are going to be two completely different things, which means I'm going to fork forth the money for a Paralabs deck.

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the interest!

The Wallet Zener cards in the "Coming Soon" section are a set of 10 plastic cards (2 of each symbol) that are about the size of a credit card, but thinner than a playing card. They are ma**ed in a unique way. The ma**ings are easy to read but hard to spot if you don't know what you are looking for. The plastic cards are extremely durable and can be carried in a wallet without any fear of damage.

This product has been on hold for a while because I can't find a manufacturer to make a set that meets the quality of my prototypes.

I will say that the Paralabs cards are excellent and worth looking into.

Wow. This sounds right up my ally. The majority of effects I perform using ESP cards, I only ever use 10 cards anyway (one set for me and one set for the spectator).

Can you not get the same people who made your Dreamweaver card to make them? I have the Dreamweaver, and I am quite pleased with the durability and quality of it Smile

Personally I love my beyond ESP 3 cards and find the markings easy to read despite my poor eyesight. That said I would trust any product from Paralabs implicitly and if I was in the market for a new deck I would get the Paralabs cards without hesitation even if I hadn't already heard nothing but good things about them.

An update on this product:

I have the cards in stock and they look great! They are super thin, 7.5 mil (thinner than the Dreamweaver card, which is 12mil.) They will be ready to ship as soon as the instruction manual is complete, which should be less than a week.

They can be found here:

Excellent. Knowing the strict quality of Paul's products, these will be first class.

I use Zener cards all the time, but thus far for the size have had to make do with inferior cardboard Royal Magic cards. These sound perfect and will fit right in my iPhone case.

I also like the durability factor i.e. buy once use always.

Perfect timing Paul.

I will buy your cards for sure; but it is a little expensive to make a full deck of 25 cards.
17.00 × 3 = $51.00

WALLET zener cards...I know...but I need a full deck of 25 cards.

Just saw these on Paul's site. The fact that ALL of the cards are the equivalent to the thickness of 3 credit cards puts these over the top, for me. I carry a lot of effects in my wallet, and the thought of having a deck of Zenner cards that can fit in my WALLET, is a no-brainer.

In fact, I've always wanted to have a deck of Zenner cards with me at all times, but it's just too much of a hassle, and not practical. This sounds as practical as it gets. Plus, as Gerry said, knowing the quality of Paul's products, these will be top-notch.

Sounds like you've got another winner, Paul!

So these aren't plastic coated, but entirely plastic? Also curious, will they warp over time or always stay perfectly flat like a credit card.

I have experience with having 5 ESP cards on my wallet for years. They are a great tool for impromptu performances. For that reason also I have create a lot of Mentalism with them and even publish some of it.

I know for a fact that after a time the cards become damaged and stained. This cards from Paul are a great companion for the performer who wants to have pristine cards on his wallet.

Would like to see the back design of one card a bit clearer. Looks kind of busy but hard to tell from photo.
