Good call. What a young woman! An ordinary kid who suffered from ignorance and oppression. Malala discovered the deep and powerful resources within. A worthy hero.

I saw that clip last night, and it left me speechless. To me Malala redefined bravery.

To be shot twice in the head then come back so strong and determined.

She is a hero.

Though I can't watch the clip on this side of the border, but I do know she is very inspiring.
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

I love the redirect at Huff Post. "In case you can't give up your free healthcare and move to America, you can watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart at http://www.thecomedynetwork.ca "

Must gall you, gdw Smile

Yes. Double WOW!

I hope she becomes a leader later in life. Though she already leads now, by example. Smile

Malala to Obama: "Drones Fueling Terrorism"
Washington Post 12 October 2013

"Yousafzai said she was honored to meet Obama and that she raised concerns with him about the administration's use of drones, saying they are "fueling terrorism."

"I thanked President Obama for the United States' work in supporting education in Pakistan and Afghanistan and for Syrian refugees," Yousafzai said in a statement published by the Associated Press. "I also expressed my concerns that drone attacks are fueling terrorism. Innocent victims are killed in these acts, and they lead to resentment among the Pakistani people. If we refocus efforts on education it will make a big impact."

If this would go as viral as the Stewart clip.
Also, why did this not start just as much, if not more, discussion as the OP?

Same reason people still don't like to hear MLK's sppeech that said that the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today was his own country. The cognitive dissonance is too great. House of cards and all that. Warm fuzzies, okay; cold reality, no.

Wow, I really thought that the discussion might have picked back up, but now.

I posted the exact same thing on Facebook and didn't get any replies. I thought I was the only one. She is a symbol of hope for the future! She didn't win the Nobel Peace prize but she certainly won my heart.

Did anyone see the Dianne Sawyer interview? She enjoys doing magic and showed a little video of her doing some card tricks for Sawyer. I kind of liked her presentation. Such a wonderful girl who has so much potential to change the world for the better.

That's nice to hear about the magic. I guess that she counteracts the CIA's John McLaughlin.

She doesn't yet know how to deal centers and bottoms but when she gives you that huge smile it touches your heart.
