A lot of other people would have been embarrassed too by being there because they know little. But learning is what it was all about.

That had to be the most marketing slogans I have seen in one post.

Miike, look over your list. Surely you're not telling us that you couldn't figure those things out for yourself without going to a "boot camp" (I hope!).
Besides, you left off iron your dress shirts and make sure your fly is zipped. |

You remind me of Geoff Ronning. In 2003 at Dave Dee's bootcamp marketing conference Geoff was speaking similar words. He was embarrassed because most of the magicians were against his speech on agents. Dave said "We beat him up." "We grilled him." Mike, I've heard the audio from that conference and it always struck me as funny that pretty much everyone there was ridiculing Geoff's point and saying why it was stupid. He just said, "well, that's what I do and it's working - really well". It's similar to Mindpro's post about his $3,500 booking with the agent making $8,800. Geoff's point with his business as far as I can recall was - who cares what the agent makes, if you're getting the money you asked for? He made pretty much the same point as Mindpro made. Of course, if most magicians are saying it's the wrong thing to do, that usually means it's exactly the right thing to do... - Mike
