Hi

I'm not new to magic, but new to using silks. I want to do the classic of pulling loads of joined up silks out of my sleeve, but don't know what to search for online as I need to purchase these. Does anyone have a link please or can you tell me what to search for?

Many thanks.

What you really need is Rice's Encyclopedia of Silk Magic. Get the set of printed books (avoid the CD) and you will have many years of material.

Enjoy your silk magic.

I have always made my own silk productions. I buy a number of silks and tie them all together. For something like this I would suggest diamond cut silks. They take up less space but give you the illusion of longer silks. Here's an example of a smaller red one: http://www.ronjo.com/magic/DSILK12_red.html

You could also purchase square ones and diagonally cut them, but unless you have some sewing ability I wouldn't recommend it. They need to be cut with very sharp scissors and they tend to fray at the cut edge so they require having a hem or edge sewn to prevent that.

I second this. If you are getting into silks, this is a valuable resource.

Please don't call them silks, when performing, lay people immediately question the reason for calling them that - they are handkerchiefs!
