Got to admit that's funny Brother Bob! I used to eat paste, too. (Maybe that's why some people think I'm stuck up. )

Paste tasted pretty good! Kinda minty if I remember correctly. Been about sixty years or so.
November 12th Brother. Hey, we all get angry in here right? Thanks for calling me Brother, Brother.

I'll be on stage in Las Vegas on November 12th. I'll be sure to send you a mental congratulations.
(Just so you know, I always argue with my brother(s). |

Thanks Bob. I appreciate that. I argue with my brother(s) too. I'm on at 7 PM and when I get to the part where I have to say a few words, I'll mention my friend in Las Vegas who is sending me a congratulatory mental message despite that we **** each other off. I think they'll like that and they'll also think I'm a complete whack job. It'll be fun to find out what the goat is all about.
And have a great show on the 12th as I'm sure you always do. PS. Just so you know Bob I'm not skating like some states permit, or so I'm told; I can recite it all for both degrees. Word for word.

School paste... one of the food groups when I was growing up. BTW-Addressing the comment(s) above, I was bullied for being small and skinny when I was a kid, and now have to deal with the looks a very fat person gets. Difference now is my skin is as thick as my girth. It is also easier to define who has the bigger problem.
I actually agree that obesity is rampant. We all want to blame something for this. Not one single factor is at fault though, and especially not Halloween candy. Don't get me started because I could go on for days about this and a lot more. If the woman felt that she could (should or even needed to) contribute to the well-being of fat kids, then give them (and all kids that come to her door) a pack of sugarless gum or piece of sugarless candy (or something like crayons, as mentioned above). Watch them say thank you (most actually still do), follow up with "You're welcome. I like your costumes", then smile and shut the .f***ing door. Singling out kids based on one's own personal criteria is being a .damn. Nazi. It would be better if she had just left the porch light off for the evening, rather than wreck what should be an enjoyable holiday for kids. If the kid(s) was indeed fat, then chances are they feel the pain every other day of the year. If that had been my kid that got a letter like that, I guarantee the police would have to be called on me.

If the woman feels that way, there are alternatives that don't single one child out: hand out raisins or some healthy snack. When I was a kid, we had a dentist on our street who gave everyone small packs of toothpaste. I know someone who hands out tennis balls. There is lots of things to hand out rather than candy if you feel it contributes to childhood obesity without singling out a child for ridicule.

That is a sad and unprovoked attack, even if passively aggressive. @ Magnus Eisengrim - the woman doesn't necessarily classify as a bully. But, what she did is very likely to fuel others who are in prime positions to be bullies.

I think the best and healthiest way to lose weight is eat healthy and exercise BOTH. However, part of eating healthy in my opinion is that it is OK to eat a candy bar once and a while or enjoy some hot wings as long as you don't go overboard. That's why exercise is important in raising your metabolism. The types of exercises you do is important. Running is good for your cardio vascular system, but it pounds your joints. Probably a good alternative is bicycling that way you can get the intesity of a run that you wouldn't get by walking and you don't pound your joints.

Quote: Mary that was a great post and I couldn't agree with you more. What this woman did was crazy but we have to start recognizing that obesity and diabetes are a national epidemic. If we don't do something about it soon we are going to bankrupt an already fragile health care system.

I certainly didn't mean to diminish what the Nazis did. You didn't. The Nazis believed in the "superior race" which had certain look and the perfect genes and were intolerant of anything different. Of course such a mentality and ideology was defeated during World War II as well and discredited in the end. Quote:
the woman doesn't necessarily classify as a bully. But, what she did is very likely to fuel others who are in prime positions to be bullies. By exact definition she didn't fit the perfect exact definition of a bully. However, she sure was skating dangerously close to that definition if you ask me and her actions certainly do feul others into bullying as well. People have to learn it's not OK to bully or to encourage bullying and by doing this you are not helping anybody and you are making the problem worse. There is a right way to go about in helping others and then their is the wrong way. This woman's action do more damage than good and do not help in the least bit. She seems like an intolerant judgemental Nazi B word to me whose actions have not helped anybody out in the least bit at all. If anything, her actions will just teach obese kids to hate themselves, which only encourage unhealthy behaviors like starving themselves or becoming obsessed with being a physical fitness nut (which to me can be unhealthy as well because it can encourage over-excercise in addition to starvation diets) and never learning to love themselves for who they are already, despite their imperfections. That being said, obsiety is a problem that needs to be addressed, but it needs to be addressed the right way that offers real solutions and not solutions that make people bully victims or teach people to hate themselves and harms themselves through starvation diets and over-exercise (which is the result of being a physical fitness nut).

If she's so concerned about obesity why didn't she just forego candy completely and give ALL of the trick-or-treaters healthy snacks? (Of course I would have TP'd her for doing that as well. )
