Does anyone know any sources (or marketed effects) that would allow you to visually 'morph' one word to another word? This would be on an 11 x 17 piece of paper.
This is part of a prediction effect I am working on. At present I am simply switching the two predictions...but it occurred to me that it would be cool if I could have the first word visibly change into the second word. Would be even cooler if I could then hand out the morphed word on the paper! Anyone have any ideas or advice? Thanks for your help! Cody S. Fisher

An ambigram / symbiotigram might be a nice way to do this?

The only possible thing I could imagine this marker concealing is a pencil. (Maybe if you colored very darkly??) I don't know if this will work for your purpose though as pencil should't be very visible on stage …I am looking forward to hear some other ideas! Zack Johnston :bluebikes: |

Do you mean morphing it visually? Or using one word as two without The audience realising? As other have mentioned an ambiagram is a good proposition. I have seen an effect where the word 'Jesus' visually morphed into the word 'Satan' as the card was turned upside down. I think the card was also somehow gimmicked, as you you visually see some of the letters change slightly.
As for using it the other way, Luke Jermay has some work on that. |

Stone cold frixion - Jeff StoneStone
Ive also used 'burn notice' to do this on receipts. A word appears over the other word by burning the back of the receipt instead of a morph. Ive also used Alexander Kolle's "X-Tension". |

You are very welcome.
One correction to my list. The last link was incorrect. It should be: Messing With NCR Paper by Ben Harris: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/3635 Zack Johnston :bluebikes: |

You can get those FriXion pens for quite a bit cheaper than $4.99 each just by going to Staples. I bought this 3-pack http://www.staples.com/Pilot-FriXion-Era......t_722395 in three colors to match the colors of pens I usually use (I'm a college professor, so I use red, blue, and black depending on my tasks). There's a 3-pack of just black, too.

Not sure if it would work with something that large but the final change in Trevor Lewis' version of the Homing Card where the card changes as it's tossed into the air might work.

You could write various words on different sheets of paper throughout your show, then when you're ready to show your prediction, overlay them and put a light source behind them to reveal a totally new word? Hard to explain but I've used this technique on stage in the past and it slays.

Cody,
It’s a bit difficult to give ideas without also involving the discussion of methods. Maybe the 'secret sessions' or the 'triple dare’ part of the Café in the 'Banquet Room' section would be a better place to post this. In lieu of that I’ve PM’d you 8 ideas and suggestions.
