Does any one know any thing about Brett Daniel's Jet Turbine?

From what I heard it was custom made for him. Not sure of the builder though, I'm sure someone on the Café could fill in the blanks. 99.9% sure you cant purchase it either. It's pretty cool though.

Just my 3cents - I'd thought I'd be different, haha.

I know few specs on it. I learned from one of his old stagehands. PM me for details.

The Jet Turbine was built by John Gaughan. There are four that have been built. Brett has one, two are in Europe, and the fourth is owned by Tim Kole. Tim performed it on Champions of magic. We have been at Gaughan’s place and looked at it. A great piece, but very large and heavy when crated. When crated, it weighs about 2600 pounds.
You can purchase one, however, better start saving now, as it runs around $40,000.

Update: At the moment, there are 3 Jet Turbines in Europe (all made by John Gaughan.) Erix Logan, Magic Orvellis, and Joe Labero are performing this illusion.

Which special was this effect featured on? I think the best Fan illusion out there was Copperfield's version - Bill Smith's Windshear never really caught my eye. If the effect you're referring to is what I'm thinking of, it did seem rather anti-climactic; neat but didn't blow me away. (No pun intended.) For $40k, I'll hold off for now!
