Apologies for repeating this thread, but after weeks of fruitless searching online, I am desperate to find a source this stuff. Located two shops in the States, neither of which ship to Canada....grumble grumble. At this point the cost is (almost) not an issue
If anyone has a bottle they no longer have a use for, I'd be happy to make you an offer. Thanks for your patience. Cheers |

Thanks for the suggestions guys. M, I read through the links you on the page you provided; none have blacken-it in stock. Lithyem, although not blacken-it, Nic-A-Tone may work, it may not as it is recommended for copper coins only: I'm looking to darken up different white metal coins, clad mostly.
I found a list of Canadian hobby stores which specialize in model trains. I then emailed most of them (took quite a while!), and found one that actually carries it and will ship me a bottle!!! For any other Canadians looking for this stuff, their url is www DOT niagaracentralhobbies DOT com. Thanks again for trying. |

Nic-a-tone works on silver coins as I believe - the bristles on the included brush are copper and react with the liquid and create a darkening sort of paint.

Didn't realize that Lith, good to know.
